I know there's a poll for the next kdrama. But you should definitely watch HWARANG (pleaseee lolll) Seo jun is the lead role and V's there too (and Ko Mun Young from it's Ok...). Not into period piece drama but It's a fun period piece and lovable characters (:

Seo Jun had been in some good dramas. Of course, Hwarang with Tae (and Minho and other really good-looking actors). He was in Parasite, too, but not for long. Itaewon Class, What's awrong with Secretary Kim, Figt for My Way, etc. But my favorite is Kill Me, Heal Me. It's a great drama about a guy with multiple personality disorder. So funny.

fun fact: next week (oct 12) the cast of jinny's kitchen will reunite in a kind of a spin-off of "the game caterers" (called "the communication caterers"). episodes with bts were amazing, so i guess this will also be really fun.

37:30 that's EXACTLY how I felt in a later ep when they had German customers! Understanding them and reading the subs was quite the experience lol the translators left out all the slang and more informal stuff and made them sound very polished and proper ahahaha (I remember there also being a very confusing mistranslation!) and it made me wonder if the Spanish/Dutch etc speakers watching this and hearing their language had the same experience

Its so fun watching this with you guys, I too love it when the cast gets recognized by the customers. In the future I hope you can check out season 2 of Youns Kitchen, it has the same premise as Jinny's Kitchen except that the owner of the restaurant is Ms. Youn. Seo jin, Yu Mi, and Park Seo Joon are a part of the cast. It's a really fun watch.

You guys were talking about how they're really serious about skincare believe and it or not, Yumi is 40 years old. I personally don't think that she looks remotely that old. Also, I'm not sure if you guys noticed but she's the actress that played the pregnant lady in Train to Busan.

Parasite is a great film! It won best international film and best original screenplay at the Oscars, and the direction Bong Joong Ho won best director as well (the second Asian to ever do so). He also directed Snow piercer, which is a film that was referenced in the lyrics of Spring Day by bts:) The film itself is a social commentary and contains a lot of metaphors that can be hard to catch, but make the film so much better

Because Stef and Wes are "beginners" in terms of watching kdramas. Hwarang would not be a good one for them when they are not that immersed even a little bit with Korea's history. They will get there eventually though

I see your point but I disagree, all my first dramas, including Hwarang were Joseon Era because I did not like modern ones yet. Namely the modern language was hard to listen to at first. I am sure they'd enjoy it regardless so hopefully they choose to watch it on their own.

I don't know if you guys have seen it but they recently teased a spin-off of Jinny's Kitchen with the same team! We don't know exactly what it's gonna be but it comes out tomorrow

if you want to see British people trying korean food, you can check "Korean Englishman" on youtube. they invited British high schooler, soccer player, artist, soldier & many people on their channel. i really recommend you guys to watch it. maybe as extra content for youtube etc

I support international teams that aren’t associated with me. I’m Jamaican American but I love FC Bayern Münich (Germany), I even sent a letter to them back in high school and they sent me back a whole bunch of merch. I also love Wrexham bc of Ryan Reynolds and their show abt the team 😂. I also know and love a lot of Korean athletes (from basketball to soccer to volleyball) but I don’t necessarily follow their teams.

I'm actually surprised by how many dutch people there have been so far. As a dutchie myself, it's not very often I here my language so much in a foreign tv show (especially because its an english video about a korean tv show in mexico) 😃
