Every time I rewatch or watch others react to this show, I still cry, I still get those goosebumps and I still feel those butterflies in my stomach during those special moments! I totally get why the coming out scene made you cry; I did the same because my coming out wasn't ideal and was extremely traumatic. I read an article about why so many older LGBTQ+ audiences feel both happy and sad about this show: because most of the older audiences (and even people who live in countries where its not safe to be queer) never had this positive and uplifting experience (and never will)... ...but through this show, we get to imagine a childhood or young adulthood where coming out queer is embraced and we can go on this queer journey in a safe space with supportive friends, families and adults. There will always be shit queer people will go through, but when you have a strong network of friends and family, the queer journey will never feel scary or unsafe. You should read some of Alice Oseman's other books, because a lot of her books have main characters who are on various queer spectrums: from aro/ace to bisexuals to other queer identities. And she/they love to use that "Friend to Relationship" trope that you mentioned in one of your videos. If you do pick up the "Heartstopper" graphic novel (which are also amazing) avoid the graphic novels 3 & 4 if you don't want to see possible spoilers for the show season 2/3. The 5th and final comic will come out next year just in time for season 2 of "Heartstopper." Again, thank you for a wonderful reaction! So happy you loved this show! I really hope you react to season 2 and 3 when they come out! I'm also a HUGE Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan so I will be watching those reactions as well! Take care!

Thank you so much for your comment and for joining my patreon <3 I started following Alice because of a book called Loveless I think? I never read it anyway but that's the name of one of my favorite anime (yaoi lolol) and because I read she was asexual aswell. I definitely want to read some of her books. Hope I get the chance to. Dont worry, I will be reacting to future seasons. This show was everything I needed and more. And the fandom is right there with the Sense8 fandom, the absolute best and so welcoming I cry every time I read their comments hahah I hope to feel safe to be myself in front of my family someday, and that I dont have to hide. But for now I'll live in the Heartstopper fantasy hahaha
