Starting about thirty years ago, guns started being made with an extra block or bar inside to make them "drop safe" so that they won't discharge if you drop them. If the gun was made before 1990 then there's a small chance it would've gone off. Anything made before 1900 would've had a very likely chance of firing. You have a bad memory though so it's not surprising you don't remember your birthdays from that long ago. Personally, I still remember details from as far back as my fifth birthday. Got Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES. Regarding having sex while grieving. I'd say it's a 50/50 thing. Some people get drunk to grieve, others want to lose themselves in pleasure. Still for some, it's an affirmation of life.
