I always liked this episode - I thought it could have been longer, maybe a two or three parter to explore the alternate reality a bit more (especially Vampire Willow!). It was cool seeing not only what Sunnydale would have been like without Buffy but also how Buffy would have turned out without her friends. "Alternate Buffy" had that line "I don't play well with others" which was so sad. I think it also shows a bit why Faith is the way she is - no friends to support her.

Right? And as fun as vampire Willow and Xander are it's also heartbreaking. The best writing is when people are better because they have each other, challenged by friends imperfections and forgiveness or interventions against our own imperfect actions, bettered by love and influence. And it is hard knowing Faith never had that. Just dead alcoholic mom, then Slayer. Had to be rough.
