Yeah, remember in The Constant episode when Desmond visits Daniel at Oxford, Desmond asks Daniel if he is going to protect his own head before he blasted the rat with radiation. We can assume Theresa went all comatose and Daniel lost his mind because of the experiments. It's similar to what was happening to the people on the boat going crazy or what Desmond went through or Charlotte not remembering things when they were all time traveling.
