The game DOES USE/APPLY Xbox & Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has a mixed HDR implementation as it is one of the very few games leveraging the system-wide HDR settings but still provides in-game Peak HDR Luminance (up to 2.000 nits) and Paper White controls, but with no numerical reference.
If you have an LG OLED and:
> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: +19 clicks (from all the way to the left/0; which is around 2.000 nits);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: +5 clicks (from all the way to the left/0; which is around 800 nits) or +7 clicks (for G2; 1.000 nits) or +12 clicks (for G3; 1.500 nits).
If you don't have an LG OLED and:
> you don't have an HGIG option:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to: +7 clicks (from all the way to the left/0; which is around 1.000 nits);
> you're using HGIG:
- Set HDR Brightness slider to one of those values and the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits":
In all cases set "Paper White" slider to: Middle as it already corresponds to a balanced/correct exposure and gamma. You can still increase it a bit if it looks too dark for you.
