Makes NPCs spill their inventory on death, similar to looter games like Diablo IV. Weightless SKSE plugin with customizable ini.

I made this because my monke brain enjoys seeing loot drops whenever I kill a hard enemy or boss in Warframe/Destiny/Diablo, and I decided I wanted to have that in Skyrim as well.

Install:

1. Install as a mod through your mod manager.

Customization:

Choose what types of items drop from NPCs using the ini files (armor, weapons, misc). Comes with everything but armor dropped by default.

It looks a bit weird for NPCs to drop their armor when they die because they end up naked but some of you may want that as an option and I'm not one to judge ;)

To-Do:

Add more customization options for what gets dropped.

Sound for loot, with specific clips depending on rarity

Lighting/vfx?

Recommended:

Animated Interactions - animations for picking up loot

Better Third Person Selection - easier selection in third person

Inventory Coins - so that coins drop in a bag instead of as a giant pile

Not fully tested. Report any bugs/crashes experienced with a modlist and relevant info.

Do they float? And spin? 🥺 Do they make a sound when they pop out?

Monitor144hz

No, unfortunately. I'm not coding that, it sounds like a nightmare with Skyrim's janky havok system 😅 Sound system; maybe

loving it!

As if you read my mind, holy hell. You're the goat

That actually sounds pretty neat. I played Diablo(s) for years and never put two and two together on why pillaging the corpses just wasn't as "fulfilling". Can't wait to get in-game to try this, now...

ENB lighting on dropped items would be sick!!!!!!!!

Bruce

Nice idea for those of us that have old man eyes...

Actually I do have a question about the suggested Inventory Coins. I'm just going to copy and paste parts of it I posted elsewhere since I don't expect an answer from Fenix. Does anyone know if that mod works with something like C.O.I.N.S. to where it separates what coin-type you get based on certain factors? I put C.O.I.N.S. into play because I didn't want a centuries old Draugr dropping a bunch of modern coinage, etc. Would it need a patch or something like that? I don't know how that would be done as one is SKSE and the other is BOS based.

amazing work as usual b :)

Inventory Coins works with only the vanilla currency unfortunately. As far as I know from browsing the github source it has a hardcoded formid(0000000F) to check if it's vanilla gold. I'm assuming C.O.I.N.S adds new coin types with different ids, so it probably wouldn't be compatible. Fenix has left skyrim modding so that's probably why he won't answer :(

Bruce

Bummer. I guess its just something else you're going to have to work on... :) As for Fenix... yeah... really a shame too since he was an outside the box thinker... highly underrated...

It works really well

This is awesome!!! And even leads to funny situations, I lol'd when I shot a wolf and the skin jumped out of it :D (https://i.imgur.com/thPoLUH.jpg)

What about making that part of your animated interactions instead? Have skins jump out after skinning

Yeap leads to minor incompatibility with hunterborn, otherwise pretty nice :D
