PSA: Rumored Skyrim Update Today (Patreon)

Apparently, there are some clues to suggest that Skyrim may be getting another update sometime today. Exact time is not known, but it could coincide with the Starfield stream.

The contents of it are unknown, but some people are theorizing that it's a Marketplace style system similar to Minecraft, from the naming that we saw in the Steam depot changes,  and a leak from one of the CC authors.  

We don't know anything for sure, and I don't want to start any panic.

But you guys may want to make sure auto update is turned off and that the Skyrim game manifest is set to read-only, just in case the update goes through and breaks a whole lot of SKSE plugins (including mine).

Edit: One of the private dev branches of Skyrim SE for Steam was changed a few hours ago today, according to SteamDB, which lend the rumors more credibility. It's a password protected branch so we can't see what exactly changed unfortunately. The public user branch remains unchanged (for now).

If you want to be 100% safe, set the Skyrim SE app manifest to read only. Again, not confirmed, just a rumour. But better safe than sorry.
