Hmm. Well, it's been the worst week for writing in some time. I attribute this to a few things. I was ill for much of the weekend and start of the week. The heatwave also certainly didn't help. And I finished reading "Normal People," which was such a fantastically-written book that it left me staring at my own prose with--well, if not disgust, at least disappointment.

Anyway, I rallied by the end of the week and hit my minimum target, which isn't great but progress is progress. I'm finding my way through chapter five and momentum is building.

Unfortunately--well, not unfortunately, it's a good thing, really--I'm going on holiday tomorrow to visit family. This may or may not affect the running of the Patreon. For the moment, you can assume that next week the usual Monday, Wednesday and Thursday posts will occur. But--if they don't--you'll know why and I apologize in advance.
