I'm starting to be seriously concerned about so many Patrons leaving every other day. I know don't post content every single day but it's getting common in the exit surveys to see "Creator didn't deliver rewards as promised"

What the actual fuck?? 

There are no rewards, did I even promise something except you get to see stuff in advance? 

I'm so bored to see this message coming up. Are there rewards tiers? If there are, or if I promised you something, let me know, because I am clueless here.

Honestly wouldn't sweat it too much Sketch. Might be in reference to people having originally subbed for Diaper Witch Academia and not having that continued in their time frame? It's all I can guess. Don't worry about the people that unsub. Continue doing you.

I think it's because you posted a status saying "taking a break", making people think that you're stopping making art. So I assume people think they don't need to pay you for not making art. They're not here to support you when you're not making art or just giving you money just because whom you are.

But, its also true that Patreon wouldn't care if an artist does nothing. I don't think that's Sketchman's intent, but people laze around all the time with a steady payroll like this coming in. It's more of a 'get out if you don't want to help' type of mentality.

I was more concerned about other rules. I did not put up a campaign for doing nothing nor I did steal any artwork. Taking a break is against the rules, too?

not to further your despair any more than it is, but I'll be looking forward to the day you truly unchain yourself from these shackles. These pledge accounts, these commissions whatever you wanna call them. They're your prison. I mean here you are, saying to your fans "I need a break, just a a tiny break so I can sort my life out, so I can remind myself why it is I'm doing this" you said this in so many words.... and the vultures just kept on pecking

Of course its not against the rules. I was just saying that Patreon doesn't have an power in making people do work or not. If an artist were not to do enough, the sole result might be less support. There isn't going to be a rule that forces you to do anything, really

I could change stuff on Patreon and add higher Tiers for more loyal fans. This has gotta be the weirdest Patreon page, where my viewers suggest me to add higher tiers ^^ To be honest I don't really get what you mean with the first part.

I guess in my head I wanna see your breaking point, the point in which You've had enough and start drawing the things nobody asked for, the things no one wanted to see. To make what im thinking more understandable, it's the equivalent of that scene in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, the one where they all get on the boat and go down into the tunnel and shit gets real for a moment. Now take that idea and just replace willy wonka with you and we're along for the ride...thats your breaking point, I think

I guess my breaking point has been reached more than one time, all the rants were what everyone didn't ask to see. If you're talking about censored content, that's my usual content. Sometimes I may feel like doing something uncalled for and more lewd just like the latest short comic.

Really? I thought you've been doing what everyone wants for the past few months. no im not talking about censored so much as I am uber realistic, like those old Ren and Stimpy cartoons where sometimes you saw too much for the imagination and I don't mean porn or scat, what I mean are the blemishes, the pimples, the hairs all those unsightly things the human body offers that cartoons and anime cover up with. Those are the things nobody asked for, which I imagined your breaking point being something along the lines of "alright you ungrateful perverts, you want diaper art...imma give you some realistic art" and then you proceed to draw something like an 80 year old incontinent woman having her soiled diaper changed by her son (not me btw) the uber realistic isnt sexy or hot its pathetic and degrading and it's a fitting comeuppance for the ungrateful peoplee who wont give you break

lol I see where you're getting at. However we live in hard times were new content is the new drug, and many users simply want to pay and get something in return. I don't blame them entirely but they could at least fill out the exit surveys or answer to messages when I ask them the reason for their leaving.

I feel for your plight, on one hand this is your livelihood and on the other...sometimes trolling is its own reward for impatient people. maybe one day you'll land in a situation where this isn't your sole income and you can be free to create whatever you want.

I am developing an Android game with a very capable coder, I'm doing design, layouts and graphic coding. That will hopefully be the start for something and let my Patreon be more free :)
