Sup Jerks!

We're rolling in a new Legend of Korra reaction and it's hitting us right were we needed it to!

We spend a good amount of time hanging with our fave crusty ol' earth bender Toph, who is dropping some TRUTH BOMBS about current and new villains of this story and it's really, really interesting!

Watching Ikki come into her own as the People-Bender and out-maneuvering and outsmarting the guards with Meelo!

Also, watching Korra really has to deconstruct her trauma with her poisoning by the Red Lotus and HOT DAMN is it satisfying to see her overcome it and give a hug to Toph that's really really moving.

"It was hot, I was on a blimp, and I think a giant turtle showed up", for Toph, Sozin's comet was just Tuesday.

Dustin out here being the strong silent type just quietly having all the emotions almost missed it, thankfully i wasn't that far away that i could just go back and focus on dustin also i never noticed Meelo was picking his nose when meeting Toph XD

I knew we'd get you to care about Korras Journey Dustin! You bastard 😅 Seeing Korra work through her physical trauma was so damn touching. And to Morgans point about doing the villains plans, for a few of them, they actually already had. For Amon and his equality, they appointed a non bender President in Raiko. No they didn't talk about it much, but thats what happened in the aftermath. For Unalaq, Korra did make the decision to keep the portals open, allowing for spirits to live. So I think it was more personable within Korra, that she needed to let go of them. Cant wait for the next episode guys!

For me, this is where Korra excels compared to ATLA. the original series had nowhere near the same amount of nuance this show has particular in S4. Azula was begging for a season exploring how and why she was molded into the weapon she became for her father, but it was a different show with different tones/themes/etc. LOK is fantastic for exploring those more nuanced mature points of view.

I love korra getting help from the OG characters, cuz it also shows how much they've grown too. Wish we had more Zuko time.

RIP Suyin's VA Anne Heche, who passed away today. ❤

Korra and Toph already had the "what made you wanna disconnect from the world" - "I'm more connected than you've ever been" talk in episode 3. The vines kept her connected/able to see her daughters and the world the same way they just allowed Korra to connect to the airkids.

I feel like Korra did 'legacy characters in a sequel set decades later' in a way I wish Star Wars had done it. All the TLA characters feel like they had full lives in the gap where they experienced growth and change, where a most of the OT characters in the Sequel trilogy felt like they just sat around waiting for the next instalment.
