Honestly, I can't talk to my mom about 90% of what they talked about. Not because I'm not willing, it's just we never talked about growing up. I got my sex talk from kids at school and 80's and 90's porn. I never got a speech on what not to do on anything. The only things I did was a drank a little and I smoked pot once, very bad pot experience. I don't drink a lot because of my dad, he was an alcoholic and died from alcohol dementia at 59. That's why he was so abusive, he was always drunk. He was abusive to my mom, that's why I'm very protective of the women in my life. The only time I ever hit someone was because of what that person did to a friend of mine. I overshare

I think that some of those questions could be helpful to develop a closer bond with your parents but a lot of them were way too personal, lol. I think drawing a line is the best approach!
