it's a pretty fun show, not amazing imo but def not bad. I remember really enjoying the manga bc it was drawn in the 90s and i like that style :D but i enjoy the OST here. enjoy the show!

I’m watching along with you guys, but I think it’s friendly as it’s not fully dominant and it learned that it needs to coexist with the body it’s living in. Since it’s only a certain body part, it knows it can die without killing the body like the other parasites. He can just chop of his arm and it dies. So If it succeeded in getting to his brain I think it would be fully dominate because they’d both die, there’s no need to coexist.

so i'm watching this with you for the first time so i literally can't spoil if i tried. I think from what it seems, the worms are basically autonomous. they dont' have higher functioning until they mature. The worms that get into brains are able to control the whole body, so they eat whatever they want. Since they're not humans, it makes sense that they view nearby humans as easy access nutrients, like a chicken, so they just munch em. The main character's parasite only managed to control the hand, so it doesn't have the ability to eat on its own, it just relies on whatever he eats. Neither seem to have malicious intent towards humans, its just what they do

It's friendly bc he couldn't get to his brain and went through his nose and 4eyes sneezed him out which got to his arm then he used his earphones to wrap his arm real hard trapping him and staying there now he's friendly. simple as that.

Main character (and I think narrator at beginning too), VA is same as Mahito from JJK, Nagi from Blue Lock, and Suno Rintarou from Haikyuu (middle blocker who from Inarizaki who could turn his upper body to the sides a lot because of his core muscles) and also Yuno from Black Clover and Hanma Baki from Baki (for those who know those shows) And the parasyte attached to main character has same VA as Misa Amane from Death Note, and also Lucy from Fairy Tail, Dende from Dragon Ball (for those who know them :P)

OPening is by the same band, that did one Ending 1 for Hunter x Hunter (it also played during the scene when Kurapika, Gon, Killua & Leorio faced Phantom Troupe in the hotel).

My take on the evilness of other parasites vs the docileness of this one. They're not being evil or docile, they're just doing them. The other one got to the brain so it's able to control the whole body and do what it wants without interference from the host's own brain. So now it just started learning things about the world, like language through the news. It only ate the human cause it needed nutrients, like this one said, without getting nutrients it would wither up and die. This one would've loved to take over Shinichi's brain too but it failed as he blocked its way to his brain, so it ended up maturing in his hand and only has control of his hand. Since it has no other options now, it wants to cooperate with him. (It seems like it has some control over its own biology like morphing itself and stuff, but it can't create entire organs so it needs a host to take over. If it can't take over the brain, coexisting becomes it's only option.) Shinichi mentioned at the end too, it's like they have no shred of empathy, they just do exactly what they were programmed to by their DNA i.e. survive.

Btw did you guys know home sweet home is a webtoon comic made on WEBTOON and they turned it into a live action show there is also another one called true beauty it was a manga and made into a show as well and it’s one of my favorites as well. You guys would like reading webtoon comics it’s a app.
