In the world of Frieren, Elves can live for more than thousands of years. Serie said humans cannot afford to delay making decisions but them elves can wait a century or two, even ignoring them for a millennium poses no obstacle, as their time is closer to eternity. In a mere thousand years, the era of humans will arrive. (Scene cuts to show Himmel and gang meeting Frieren for the first time)

I guess you mean Serie, not Sense. But yes, that is what is implied. And yes, as was mentioned in earlier episodes, it has been over 1,000 years since Flamme died.

I’ve done a lot of reading in between the lines for the elves’ ages because for some reason it bothers me not having a specific number - from what I assume, Frieren is probably around 1300-1400 years old. She’s referenced to a couple times as “young” for an elf. We know she was already a mage in her village before it was destroyed, but wasn’t nearly strong enough so I inferred she was probably young at the time (only a couple hundred years old), then Flamme found her, trained her and died, and we add another 1,000 years there for the time between her death and Frieren meeting Himmel. Add another 80 years for the time after the Demon King’s death, and your guess is as good as mine is. For Serie, she mentioned off handed once she learned most of her magic during the “mythical era” which is always referenced as a long time ago - way before human civilization. For storytelling purposes, I like to assume that at the time of Flamme’s death Serie was already the age of current Frieren, so that would make her about 2400 years old. Although she did say elves live “closer to an eternity” so she could be much older. Frieren being called young multiple times has me more sure of her age than Serie’s.

The line about Zoltraak being around since Fern was born, is meant to reference the ease of acquiring tech-savvy-ness for each successive generation IRL. The earlier in our lifetimes that we are exposed to the cognitive frameworks required to easily use computers, iphones, tablets, etc, the more instinctive it is. I used to teach using Microsoft Office at an Adult Education Center in my city, and older students (as in Baby Boomers, elder Gen X) needed to understand more basic, Operating System paradigms first, like folder directories, cut/copy/paste, dragging items, etc. So they had to expend mental effort for that stuff, whereas folks our age (Millennials, Zoomers) intuitively understand the paradigm much faster and it's almost reflex for us.
