How did everyone else feel when you first watched this episode? Are we missing something about them teaming up?

Comments

Nate Banker

Their purpose is to capture the adolla Bursts so they are mainly just protecting Shinra

Nate Banker

But also capturing Shinra is their first goal so they can't let that exactly happen

JustChris

That wasn’t a team up lol that was a stand off of sorts based off the circumstances

Nate Banker

One of my favorite voice acting moments ever coming soon

Nate Banker

But they all want the pillars for their own goals so can't do much else but team for the time being

Trinature

best Thumbnaill ever

I mean I think you guys missed the part where Kurono got a call from his boss chewing him out because he was targeting the "weak" characters and not focusing on getting the kid back. That is why he decided to help Shinra not because he wanted to, but because he was ordered to. Also, you don't have to like these characters just because they all joined forces just for once lol. They are still villains.

Charon is so sick holy moly

In my head it makes a lot of sense that they team up. It is now a lot about Pillars and Nataku is a Pillar that is not on the side of the eighth or the evangelists. So both parties want to save Nataku right now and win him of their side. The only thing that is weird that they work well together, bc they have only fought against each other and not together but i think its still fine.

I think Kurono is a very straight forward character. He wants to go after weaker characters and not face a serious challenge. I also dont get why u guys didnt get the phone call? He was called by his boss and told to do his job i think and scolded bc he didnt do his job well. I think thats all. Plus its really interesting to see the main characters with this really "evil" character. U dont have to like him just bc he his fighting with them

ivannbec

that one scene was my favorite part of this whole anime

kai

theyre basically“teaming” up to protect the pillars from each other if it makes sense

eduardo jaimes

The guy is a guardian for the pillars even tho shinra is against them he has the duty to protect the pillars he can’t let him die

sandust

Charon must protect Shinra because they need his adolla burst he's not allowed to die haijama and the 8th working together because the enemy of the world is the evangelist they are the bigger and main threat haijama is just a fishy group but not as evil as the evangelist

idk but, there are many things in this whole situation that are kinda dumb, i feel that the development, or course of action of the season are not so good as i expected, maybe its me, but pretty dont like the times qhen rekka appears, look so dumb to me, and the reason why kurono asked to team with shinra is cause that phone call was his boss telling he is an idiot for picking fight with the weaks and no with the guys who are taking the kid, and his boss surely tell to get the kid back at any cost and thats whi he allied with shinra, with the girls is not so obvious but maybe somewhat similar

The sole purpose of Kurono(the ash guy) working there with Haijima was so that he could prey on the weak experimental children, therefore he doesn't want to lose his job, since he had to fight the strong Giant monster he was considering finding a new job as you can see, similar situation with the Puppeteer(the puppet girl) they both are employees of Haijima and their job is to protect the 6th pillar at all cost. In Charon's case he's one of the protectors/guards of the pillars in Evangelist group and Shinra is the 4th pillar, so he had to protect him, I don't think he has interest in anything else.

I feel like you guys missed out on some things lol. def should re-watch

maddie

i feel the teams up happen because their goals aligned. at the time all three groups are trying to obtain the 6th pillar but in his current state it would be silly for any group to simply try and take him while having to fight off the two. and for charon protecting shinra, its his duty to protect the pillars yea he beats him up a lot but he would never kill him, the pillars are essential to the evangelist's plan. me personally was hyped about the teaming up because some of my favorite characters are the villains, such as charon so seeing them all fight along side each other while they have a shared objective was cool.

IDK, the goal for the White Clad is the Pillars, Shinra at the end of the day is a pillar they need. Like they've touched in the past few episodes the pillars have guardians Arrow -> Sho, Charon -> Haumea. In this episode or the last (I believe), Arrow talks to Haumea about it and how their styles clashes which was why they had the original pairing. Charon knows, Shinra doesnt have a guardian and he believes it is his job to protect as a guardian. So if Shinra is in a spot where he can die they will protect him. This applies to the 6th pillar as well. But they will beat on Shinra when their goals clash like with Inca earlier in S2 or in S1, but they dont want him to die. I think your PoV is mostly semantics, you are thinking of it like they are flipping sides or they are friends or allies, that isnt the case. If Arthur was going to be hit by that blast Charon wouldn't protect him as he isnt a pillar. Plus the White Clad have some clowns clearly who are sort of doing whatever like Inca's guardian and Inca and Haumea this episode making such a mess of things, forcing Charon to protect Shinra from what they created.
