It's not always good to not care what others think. For example, smoking kills people but smokers don't care because they can do what they want. It's difficult to remember a stranger's voice after hearing it once and then hearing it again after time passes by. So I think it's very normal to forget a stranger's voice. Lastly, if I remember correctly anyone who uses a death note will neither go to Hell or Heaven so it's sad that Raye Penber can't go to heaven/hell 😔

I’ll get hate for this but Team Light! Lol. I just have respect for any person or character that has enough resolve/ambition to complete their goal. If it’s “super” evil then no, I don’t agree with Light. I think Light is almost a necessary evil. He has to make sure his goal will be accomplished. I actually really like Light as a character. Lights case I feel like he gotta do what he has to do. You can say it’s Evil but so far what we know in the show crime has been reduced by a decent %…. I agree Light may seem like a “Evil” person but my opinion I respect his resolve as of right now in the show. Even though I wouldn’t respect it if he killed people with minor causes (drug abuse for example). I think to become what he wants to be can be somewhat respectable in a way. Maybe I think differently than most people just my opinion.

I'm glad you mentioned the soundtrack Ron, because rewatching this after so many years I realized that I've forgotten just how much of a masterpiece the OST is. My favorite soundtrack in particular would be kira's theme (which was playing when you mentioned the soundtrack). Loving your reactions so far, buckle up because this anime is about to take you guys on quite a crazy ass ride!

I've liked Light since the very start, its a noble cause and someone has to do the dirty work, which sometimes involves innocent people. He's making positive global changes and you could argue that anyone trying to stop the effectiveness of the reduced crimes is evil themselves

Jboo I have no idea where you live but in the US their are necessary evil’s. People in reality can choose what’s wrong and what’s right even if that means killing innocent people for the cause of their goal. Light is doing everything to complete his goal. I respect his resolve. The winner of conflict throughout real human history writes who was right and who was wrong. I take that in perspective with this show I mean 200 years ago you could be burned alive for being the wrong religion that’s 2-4 generations and people still do that in other countries. That’s human history. I think some people don’t realize true human nature because we’re surrounded by “being civilized” when imo we are kind of denying true human nature. Humans in some countries I feel like don’t realize what necessary evil is. My/Your ancestors were barbaric in our eyes but people really can’t evolve that much in such a short period of time. Human nature is to be the winner and write off the “good people” as evil. I think Light is civil but also shown to be more in touch with reality. This is my opinion but if light wins he creates a world of peace that is his dream/mission. I’d vote Light to be my leader he can make decisions that most people would have a hard time making. Fast, smart decisions, are one of the most defining characteristics of being a leader.

I don't see how that spoils anything though. If Ruby's personal opinion is that Light currently is more evil than Eren. Then that's just their opinion. They haven't said anything to spoil the show.

We've known about Ryuk's death note from the start, he said in like ep 1 or 2 that when the time comes he'll write Light's name in his death note

HAHA, omg I can't wait for the other players to join the game. I love how Ron and Michelle are thinking L is just gonna figure out and catch Kira and that's gonna drag for the entire show. There are SO MANY plot twists, I can't even describe how the game between L and Kira plays because it's just SO GOOD.

I'm probably an anomaly because I LOVE Light!!! Like I know he's evil and all, but he's just so smart and cunning and I respect his deviousness. He's so evil and I love it haha. Of all the shows I've watched, I believe Yagami Light remains the SMARTEST character out of everything. I also love that the main character of the show is the protagonist (noble intentions), antagonist (rival against a good person) and villain (literally just evil) all in one 😭 😂 . Definitely a favourite character.
