By the way, the whole thing about the "Heavenly Pact" is actually very interesting. Having a Heavenly Pact really just means that you don't have something in particular, but you have something else in abundance. - Maki, for example, has no curse energy, so she cannot see curse spirits or use curse techniques, but was born with superhuman strength instead - Toji's Heavenly Pact is very similar to Maki's, but also different. He also has no curse energy, and has superhuman strength for it. The only difference between his Heavenly Pact and Maki's is that not only Toji's physical strength but also his 6 senses are greatly enhanced (which he also mentioned at the beginning of this episode) - And then there are also people with a Heavenly Pact that goes in exactly the opposite direction. Having a Heavenly Pact doesn't mean that you always don't have curse energy, but very strong instead. Do you remember Mechamaru, Todo's classmate? He suffers under a Heavenly Pact too. He was born with enormous curse energy that he can use at very great distances, which is why he can control his robot easily. But in exchange for this enormous curse energy, he was born without his right arm, he's also paraplegic from the waist down and his skin is so sensitive that even moonlight can burn it (he mentioned all in his fight against Panda, by the way). From this you can actually see that a Heavenly Pact is not always the same and is actually not that rare in the world of jujutsu sorcerers

(THIS IS NOT A SPOILER) To really understand in the end of the episode, Geto is functioning as Gojo's moral compass. Geto confronts humanity's ugliness while turning Gojo away from it. Gojo would have killed them if Geto had stated so. There will no longer be the existing Gojo Satoru. It will be an entirely different story. The symbolism here is Gojo walking away after Geto tells him it's meaningless, but Geto facing those people who are clapping at the death of an innocent girl. Geto is a sympathetic person who thinks too much, which causes him to be emotional. He stopped Satoru, but he is now lost. Keep in mind that these are simply youngsters. Gojo's moral compass was Geto. Geto's original ideas are still alive and well in adult Gojo. The "meaning" behind actions. In season 1, for example, Gojo can just kill out higher ups because he despises them. But what's the point when the corruption isn't going away? That is why he opted to be a teacher. Gojo wishes to establish a world in which young sorcerers do not have to perish or destroy their youth as a result of this broken system. Because he lost his "moral compass" "blue spring of youth" the person who always directed him to make the right decision to the corrupted jujutsu society. You'll see how essential Geto is in Gojo's life.

Thank you for explaining Gojo's and Geto's dynamic and relationship in such detail and so well too 👌🏻👌🏻. I personally think that a lot of people often don't fully understand these particular scenes, so thanks for the great explanation. I was actually thinking that I should write something about this too, but you did the work for me haha 😂😂

I cried when toji died. The last thing he thought about was his son megumi and his wife. This was depressing and he was such a likeable character. He made such an impact in the short amount of time he was here. He truly cared about megumi and he named megumi after the word “blessing” which was so beautiful and gives the name a whole new meaning. Btw megumi does not know the truth about his dad.

correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure episode 6 is a new arc, next ep is the last part of this backstory

Gojo straight up was having a Meruem moment 👑 RIP to zaddy Toji 😭 man straight up had me applauding him after he died. Come on now… dying standing up. I know he’s the bad guy buttttt man was a G… one of the baddest. Gojo really turned Toji into the Apple logo 😂

In the movie you can see Geto using Toji’s cursed spirit

Vaguely Vivid

yes before that fight gojo could only use blue, that was his first time using red n purple. The earlier episode he tried to use red on the paper bag guy but it didn't work

Vaguely Vivid

Geto def was trying hard to convince himself to not kill those people

Man these past couple of episodes have been amazing, especially the last two. Gojo finally realizing his reverse cursed technique was such a spectacle. The writing in this story is just unmatched when it comes to shonen manga, the way it can make you feel so hurt over Rikos death. You don’t even spend much time with her, but that final scene with all of the believers clapping and cheering around her corpse almost makes you wish that Gojo and Geto would’ve avenged her right then and there. JJK really gets under your skin when it needs to, and these last two episodes were great examples of that

I feel like after season 2 ended, you guys could read the manga until the end of chapter from season 2 or at least check JJK's guide book (called "Jujutsu Kaisen official fan book" https://jujutsu-kaisen.fandom.com/wiki/Jujutsu_Kaisen_Official_Fanbook), since there are so many things explained by the author outside of the main story (usually he explains it in between chapters in manga and the guide book is kinda compilation of it with another additional stuffs), like I commented about it in the beginning of season 1. The guide book contains info until vol.15 so it should be the end of season 2, hopefully. When I make additional info comment I always make sure it's from the guide book or in between chapters that you guys already watched the episode on anime so it won't be a spoiler, but honestly it's confusing which that's why people sometimes seems to spoil, some people forget if those details are included in past episodes or later in manga's main story or in additional info at current point. Or some just hear it from someone else and don't know where's the source from. I'm pretty sure they're not try to give spoiler to you guys but it's just too much so they forgot the source. But if you don't get these additional info, you'll likely be confused for next stories so yeah that's why people try to explain. So I suggest you read it by yourself after season ended.

The Gojo in Season 1 and 0 Movie had perfected limitless and reversed cursed techniques while JJ Highschool Yr 2 Gojo had not therefore he got outsmarted by Toji and almost died. As you can see, that last scene is where the cracks start surfacing for Geto~ T-T Also, the cursed spirit around Toji's neck looks scarily familiar to something we saw in JJK 0 movie around someone else neck~

Naddy

I think the symbolization in the end with Gojo stepping from blue to red light, and Geto from red to blue, is a nice touch to show how their beliefs are starting to move in opposite directions ^^ In case you want to rewatch season 1 and the movie with all the new information, I would suggest doing it in the order of: * start of season 2 with Gojo/Geto backstory --> jjk0 --> season 1 This will give you a chronological order of events :D

late to the game here cause i wanted to watch s2 by myself first. but toji fushiguro doesn't have cursed energy because he has the quality or whatever that lets people see curses, just like yuji did before he had any cursed energy. Yuji could see curses, he just couldn't hurt them because until he swallowed the first finger, he didn't have cursed energy of his own. Toji is different, he made a heavenly pact, similar to what mechamaru did to get his power. Think of heavenly pacts like kekkei genkai in naruto, except instead of being born into it, you make a pact with the "universe" or whatever. Heavenly pacts have immense power but also immense cost. In the case of mechamaru, he is literally crippled Toji's heavenly pact basically takes all of his cursed energy away, in exchange for massive physical prowess. So he's basically like JJK's version of rock lee. No Ninjutsu, only Taijutsu. Except in JJK if you don't have cursed energy, you can't do shit to curses, which is why Toji relies on his arsenal of cursed weapons. Under normal circumstances, if someone's cursed energy is too low, they can't see curses. but toji's heavenly pact makes his senses super enhanced, so he can naturally perceive curses Edit: none of this is spoilers. I double checked the past few episodes that all of this information was revealed, just bit by bit
