Just an FYI, rengoku and tengen did not have marks so y’all didn’t miss anything

So Rengoku and Tengen were actually not marked during their fights in season 2, and the reason won't be revealed in this arc unfortunately. The reason the next episode is the final episode is because it's gonna be extended, similar to how the last episode of the Entertainment District Arc was extended (it was around 30 minutes vs the usual 20ish). Also, idk why they didn't mention it, and I don't think they'll mention it at all, but Genya simply has a special talent of digesting demon flesh. At the same point that Genya's explaining it in the anime, the manga just tells us that it's a special talent and he's the only corps member who can do it. I don't feel like that's a spoiler honestly because it was literally supposed to be said there and I don't think it'll be said again. I'm sooooo excited for the next episode I really hope you guys enjoy it.

Ron and Michelle traumatized by death of Rengoku and near death of Tengen that they are predicting someone will probably die in this arc.. what has Demon Slayer done to them~ There are only 11 episodes in total and the last episode will be 70min long like what the rest have said. Can't believe this arc is going to end already~

Mitsuri Just UNLOCKED her DEMON SLAYER MARK, all demon slayers can do it but most haven’t. Tengen & Rengoku both didn’t get chance to awaken their demon slayer marks. But it’s something that appears on them when pushed in battle for a short period of time to heighten their strengths and abilities.

So, regarding Genya, he's similar to the Kamaboko Squad in the sense that they each represent one of the five senses. Tanjiro - Smell; Zenitsu - Hearing; Inosuke - Touch; and now Genya - Taste. It's really just that, if I remember correctly. No other reason for it, other than that he just has this special ability.

The demon slayer mark appears when demon slayers are being pushed beyond their limit most likely rengoku awakening it when using his 9th form ( but still stood no chance against upper 3 ) and tengen most likely awakened his in the final fight but it just wasn’t shown.

The mark never appeared for either Kyojuro or Tengen. There's another reason why the marks are appearing now, but it won't be revealed until the next arc.

No the marks just awakened this season. Rengoku and Tengen didn't have them. You'll learn more about that in the future.

The last episode is 51 min long but you prob already know that. Ep 11 is the last of season 3, and season 4 hasn't been confirmed yet.
