I love how you guys get so happy whenever Tuski cares about playing volleyball! Baby has come so far from season 1 cry 😢 Curious about how far you guys have reacted so I can recommend watching certain season 4 episodes together. As always, amazing reaction! 😊

Might as well just go for it, recommending them now xD. I'm curious too about which episodes you'd recommend to watch together :p

Michelle is right, the finger being pulled away with force over and over again when blocking can cause the webbing to split. "Cut" may not be the right word. But it certainly could split open and bleed like that. I am pretty sure that's the cause.

Tendo is really likeable as a character, but the thing is his playstyle of jumping on hunches makes it harder for back line receivers to read the situation and pick up balls. You know how blockers sometimes restrict the course a spiker can hit the ball in, making it easier for receivers to pick up the balls. If the receiver doesn't know how he's going to jump, he can't understand what position to be in to pick up the ball in case the block fails. Effectively, it's hard for Tendo to have teamwork with the receivers. So I understand where Tendo's previous coaches and teammates are coming from. Shiratorizawa's coach understood all of this and decided to bet on Tendo since even if he can't work with the receivers to prevent the opponent's point, he believed in Tendo's skill in getting them the point with his hunches and kill blocks. A more aggressive outlook on playstyle, focused on getting their own points rather than defending against the opponent's points, which is kinda what Karasuno does too with their synchronised attacks (no one is left behind to follow up if a spiker cant score). This really drives home the point again how Karasuno and Shiratorizawa are both similarly aggressive teams but the things they value as strength and aggression are different (New things and unpredictability vs simple strength which gets them the point). Damn as I was writing this comment and making edits I realized how deep this show gets and am freaking loving it xD (Some of these things I only realised now as I was reflecting on the show)

Seeing Ushijima's backstory and him getting fired up in this episode really does light an inspiring fire in you xD ❤️‍🔥 And then Tsukki fought back just as hard :D And then everyone else getting fired up wanting to keep the game alive in order to not let Tsukki down. Followed by Tendo showing his stuff. The back and forth, man I love this episode and this series xD 💖 Great writing indeed xD

Nice shirt Ron, when is the Hunter x Hunter tattoo? It's inevitable, get ready.

Chun

please 9 + 10 together !

FURsona

The cut from the volleyball happened to my friend but it was worse, it was like a cut through the whole thumb

hinata

pls 9 and 10 together

I love Tendo's and Ushijima's backstories! And I really love that the writer of Haikyuu incorporated a left-handed character, Ushijima, into the story. I'm left-handed too, and seeing everyone in Haikyuu having such trouble dealing with Ushijima's attacks always reminds me of how I used to be a bit of a wild card in P.E class because I was the only one most of the time that was left-handed and simply no one could handle it 😂😂 Ushijima is simply my lefty-besty!! 🤣

googlek1 .

You like Tendo,,, so now I can't wait for you to see Hunter Hunter character Hisoka who looks just like Tendo. Michelle is right, the web between your fingers gets split/ cut from the impact. Even in basketball blocking a shot my pinky got caught in the net during impact. It hurts.. the combo almost ripped my pinky off. Couldn't close my hand for an hour. The guy had so much power, I barley stopped him. Team got hyped, I needed a moment.

LandMarkMetal

And this is why the Guess monster is my fav.

Phyllis

I'm glad that you guys like Tendo despite his weird craziness and how he can seem a bit scary. Tsukki's injury is like a tear/cut in between the little and ring finger due to the force from Ushijima's spike which Tsukki has been taking it head on close proximity. There may be other injuries like ligament tear, dislocations or tendon injuries as you can see Tsukki's little finger was purple and bruised.

Just another friendly reminder to watch the OVAs (Land vs. Air, then The Path of the Ball) before watching Season 4! That's the chronological order and is absolutely canon. There was a manga volume dedicated just for those two episodes. You may be confused about certain characters later if you don't watch them.

Justin Moore

How many times can a side hit the ball in a row? I always thought it was three.

shouvik das

I think the impact of the ball hitting his pinky, made it stretch so far back that it ripped the webbing between his fingers, causing that part to tear.

Jake Thompson

For the cut, I'm pretty sure that Ushiwaka's hand hit Tsukki's. If the ball hit, it wouldn't matter if it was out because it would still be Shiratorizawa's point, so there's no decision to reverse.

Mario Jimenez

Yall have to upload the last 3 episodes back to back otherwise it ruins the flow of them!!! They are the hypest moments of the entire show!! Or at least ep 9 and 10 together lol

dzuudo

Receive counts. Only block doesn't count. It's always three, in beach volleyball or indoor, both.

Bibi

Ok so I would highly recommend watching these sets of episodes together: eps. 10-11 ; eps. 17-18; eps. 19-20; and lastly eps. 22-24. If anyone has different combination of episodes or other sets of episodes to react to together please feel free to comment!

I played tsukishima’s (and hinata’s) position for 10 years and my hands were beat up all the time from blocks. The force of the ball hitting your hand that closely is intense. If it hits the right spot, the skin between your fingers tears so that’s what happened. Although volleyball is technically a non-contact sport, it can be pretty dangerous. I got a few concussions and sprained ankles and bruises

Majoz

its as the other guys says, the block does not count, so there is the recieve, the set and the spike that are the only touches that count.

Majoz

one touch is basically confirming that the ball touched him in case the teamates think he didnt and if its heading for outside the court they will take it instead of letting it go

2023-06-04 09:09:44 I love how your favourites are Suga, Oikawa, Noya, and Tendou. I would like to know what you thought of Suga's successful spike and his overall playing in this episode Yes what happened to Tsukki is so sad and yes they will miss his blocking but let's see what happens in the next few episodes

Feels like Ron is so distracted during these episodes his reactions are so put-on, such a bummer
