Fun fact about that dragonite episode, the music and cries from that lighthouse episode were suppose to be Lugia as they are the exact same in the later movies, but they never actually had the design for Lugia until the end of Generation 1 leading into gen 2. They already had Ho-ohs design out as showing in episode 1 so they clearly were already having it in the works to add another set of pokemons. Not sure if they did a design change and just threw dragonite in there or lugia had a design change. Think thats how it goes, If anything is false someone correct me, but Pokemon has a lot of stuff in their shows and games that are actually quite interesting when it comes to easter egg, lore or even the way things are.
