Ron is speaking facts about Eren. I love your thoughts about why Eren is the way he is but I would like to point out to Michelle that Eren has always been like this. He’s wanted Freedom! It’s not that he changed it’s more that his idea of freedom expanded. Think about it. Eren wanted to kill all the titans because they stopped him from seeing outside the walls/having freedom. Then when he found out there is a whole other race/people out there that wanted to continue the same thing and kill his family/the people on Paradis only made his idea of freedom expand into killing his enemies because well he wants to be free and not have to worry about titans/humans ruining that freedom. He’s been that way since Armin had shown him the book.

You guys can for sure watch the opening now! I think Annie being unfrozen was like the last piece of the opening that would’ve been a major spoiler. You guys are gonna LOVE the opening. Also, the show doesn’t expand much on what occurs after Ymir’s children eat her, it’s assumed that they just grew up and had children themselves, and the powers were dispersed that way. As for your question on “Why didn’t they just trample the world back then?” One of the descendants of the OG King Fritz, which is the one with Ymir, was the one to make that whole “vow of peace” thing that the Reiss family had to abide by. Since Rose, Sina, and Maria were all children of Ymir, a slave, I assume those children were also slaves and followed in their mother’s footsteps in not disobeying their father, and thus didn’t go destroying everything (even though they very well could have, they were literally Titans lol)

The Eldian Empire DID tyrannize and conquer the whole world, I believe it was explained in Willy Tyburs speech and referenced a couple other times. The reason they ended up fighting each other is for that exact reason, their was nothing else to conquer so the struggle for power started from within Eldia and thus spawned the Great Titan War where the families of all the shifter owners essentially were killing each other to try and claim top dog. An important thing to remember is that if only 1 race/empire/whatever is left that doesn't stop hate/violence which unforunately are just part of human nature.

I feel you I was tryna answer the same question and eventually gave up and went to older episodes after I confused myself. I'm still not sure exactly how, but Marley got 7 of the 9 while they were fighting themselves during the great titan war. The king took some eldians and left because he didn't like the fighting. That's as much as I picked up in my first 5 times watching

Who cares about Willy's Tybur speech, it could aswell be manipulated or propaganda. The first reliable source to know, that Eldians did indeed tyranize, is the Ymir Flashback, where she used the Founding Titan to battle other nations, being a slave of King Fritz.

The 9 titan that came from the children eating Ymir did help the kings reign for many years but marleyans soon came in control of some of them, there was a war and the current king at the time decided to flea into paradiand vowed to renounce war and some how embedded that in the founding Titan. From that point on Marley still pressed on trying to get the king to attack humanity so the marleyans and the rest of the world have an excuse to eradicate eldians and take paradis resources.

Yes, which is clearly depicting Eldia being the first to get their hands on the Titan powers and using them for world domination tyrannical purposes. King Fritz even tells his daughters to breed and pass down the powers so that the terrors of the Titans will dominate for generations, which is what happened. It is not propoganda.

The anime skipped over this important detail for some reason so it's not a spoiler, but the Ackermans are a result of titan experimentation on Eldians. They are no longer "true Eldians" due to their bloodline being experimented with and altered. They are a clan who possess the power of a titan but in human form, which is why Levi, Mikasa and Kenny are all super strong. Since they're basically "hybrid" titans they can still connect to the paths, but they can not be turned into Titans and their memories can't be erased. For example, if Eren wanted to erase all eldians minds about the rumbling, the Ackermans would be immune. The full scope of the Ackermans was never really expanded upon how many would have liked, so a lot of stuff is left to assumption. However, by putting the pieces together you can form some sort of concrete evidence. Hope this helps!!

The titan experimentation part was a comment made by zeke that should've been said in episode 2 of season 4, when he's talking to Magath and Colt about what likely happened to the scout ships that never returned. They might bring it up later on tho like you said tho

If Eren doesn’t activate the Rumbling to destroy the whole world except Paradis, Paradis would have zero chances to survive because of the declaration of war and the hatred of the world towards the Eldians. Yes, a mass genocide is definetively wrong, but what Eren does right now is fighting back to survive. Zeke’s Euthanasia plan wouldn’t really stop the world to attack Paradis. So Eren basically fights back because he chose to fight instead of doing nothing and getting killed. Remember his philosophy of beeing free because people born into this world. He doesn‘t want to give up his freedom and fights back, knowing that genocide is wrong. Let‘s be honest, did the world ever gave Eren and all the other people in Paradis an opportunity to freely live? Yeah.. pretty fucked up situation owed to the cruelty of the world and its people.

No there is no people in the nape of titans, it’s just the point or the extension of the titans spinal fluid that’s why it needs to be slashed. As for the shifters, I believe that the titan powers regenerate their wounds and makes them resonate in the nape. Just my assumption I don’t have a solid answer lol

When we put ourselves in his shoes, the boy was trying to PROTECT! Not that we’re agreeing with him that’s wrong and he’s morally wrong, but understandable :) Anyways, guys in my opinion you would appreciate watching the op and ending after you’ve completed the episodes. You’ve seen most of the possible spoilers but only one remains. The first is how does Eren’s founding titan looks like which is in the opening. And the ending has a message in it I think would be more impactful after watching the last episode.

The Ackerman bloodline is one of the most ambiguously explained topics in this show. The only hint at real answers are in the episode called “Friends” back in S3. Kenny is talking to his dad (or grandfather… can’t remember) and is told that the Ackerman’s were immune to the effects of the Founder because they were given the power of the titans in human form to protect the king. I took this to mean that they are completely immune to all effects of the titans (can’t transform cause they technically already are once their powers awaken, can’t have their memories wiped, etc…). However, we see that Mikasa can hear Eren’s speech, so that’s an inconsistency. TLDR; Ackerman blood is confusing.

I think at the end of the day, the Ackermann's are Eldians. But the founding titan used it's DNA-changing powers to make it so they're immune to any and all Titan-powers. I feel like since Eren has the founder, he just made it so they (Mikasa) were able to hear him, because they're all still connected one way or another.. correct me if I'm wrong Manga readers xD

What else can he do when this world has declared war at his homeland and even if they haven’t declared anything they kept sending mercenaries and trained kids to kill people. So it’s ok for his people to die and be eaten alive because wtf it’s okay they’re monsters but the rest of the world are humans and only they have the right to live? Relax, no one said he’s right and no one said he’s a hero, what he’s doing is WRONG and I wish he would change his mind somehow, but his actions are understandable. I think I'm coming from the avenue which means that he shouldn't have made that major decision alone. I get it, he wants to protect those he loves. That's no justification for mass genocide. Even if he kill everyone but his homeland people, then do you not think there will be division? What if some one who is opposed to Eren (a form of restorationist) gains power of one of the Titians and the Great Titan Wars happen again, and now there's a new divide amongst Eldians. For me the root cause is a cursed race. This race was never meant to be in existence to begin with. It was an unnatural phenomenon. Zeke's plan is to get rid of this power which has only caused unjust to both the people wielding it and to those that are harmed by it. No correct option, but definitely a more moral one.

I agree with the fact that Zeke’s plan is the one with more “peaceful “ approach, but it’s only peaceful for those who are not harmed with it, no matter what someone is gonna have to be the victim and be sacrificed. However, the same questions could be asked do you believe that if they got rid of this “race”, there would be no wars? Marley itself was invading and conquering and destroying other nations waaay before Eren showed up and that’s just an example. The division and corruption will occur in any place rolled by humans, that’s a human nature to be bad or good. Their race shouldn’t have been existed, but they are here now, and you and others are saying they could be punished that way because they’re born this way. It’s not their fault! It’s like you’re saying Hitler had the right to kill all the Jews because in his eyes their “race” or people have no right to live no matter what they did or didn’t do! Someone from literally anywhere would oppose his authority and start a civil war as well, those problems are not excluded to Eldians alone.

Lets remove the two options and look at only Eren. Do you think its ok for a single person to make such a decision? At least if Eren had a means to discuss with the others on the Island he wanted to protect I can somewhat come to terms with your argument. That’s why I said he is “morally wrong”, he did terrible things and one of his mistakes might be not saying anything about it, and believe me he probably knows that and he’s not ok with it, we’ve grown to know him and we know he’s not a psychopath who just enjoys killing others, he was crying in that episode (I can’t say which one because it might be a spoiler) while seeing the people, he wouldn’t have that terrified look on his face the first time he kissed Historia’s hand and saw everything. What I’m trying to say is that he’s a good person at heart, but he’s just a little boy who knows nothing about any solution to save his and his beloved ones’ freedom. Let’s put ourselves in Eren’s shoes, if you’ve seen a terribly horrific scenes about things that you were gonna do in the future, which means just like what Grisha said those events have already been decided and happening which means there’s no changing them, would you be able to talk to anyone? If yes, who? He tried to talk to Historia if you’ve watched the whole episodes, but NO ONE is giving him any other solution except blaming him for thinking that way, she told him that it’s wrong and she’s gonna try to stop him by using reason and logic, which he already knew and thought about + like I said it’s in the future and there’s no way of changing it and since he saw everything in the future, he saw his “friends” way of dealing with it, no one is offering a new solution they just want to stop. Let’s say he planned to talk to Armin, he’s gonna try to convince him to talk and negotiate like always which he have already seen happening and failing doing so because the Marleyans refused to give a chance to talk. What if he discussed this with Mikasa? He knows pretty well she’ll be at his back even if she tries to stop him, he’ll be able to convince her because that’s how they’ve been since childhood, she advices and he continues with his stubbornness sometimes, why would he put such burden on someone he cares about so deeply when he can carry it alone? Who’s left? Levi? He’s gonna beat the hell out of him because Levi also cares about them somehow and will try to stop him again WITH NO ALTERNATIVE. They’re stopping him with both arguments “let’s negotiate with them” which he tried and “let’s just make a test rumbling and they’ll be afraid” which is an irrational option because as we all know the world already had the technology to go against a bunch of titans, till the near future wouldn’t they try to have advanced technologies to eliminate the rumbling once and for all? I know it’s wrong making such decisions alone but he knew his friends and close ones and knew how good they are, they wouldn’t be able to do anything else just like him and he’ll end up burdening them. It’s all because of the point I told you about above “THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION” if there is he either would have tried doing it or thought about it, he even did not start his attack in Liberio until Willy declared war at the end of his speech, he was prepared yes, he had everything planned yes, but wasn’t gonna do anything until the world, again, tried to attack them. It’s a matter of killing or being killed situation.

The history is true, but it was also a lie for years that all paradis were devil spawn trying to destroy the world. Marley constantly pushed away peace. One of the Kings descendants used the founding titan to make the walls and changed all Eldians memories. He then let them live their lives in ignorance that the world had perished and told the other nations he would use the rumbling should they come and try to stop his vow of peace. Peace was an option here. They could have left paradis alone in the dark with no info. If Eren inherited the founding after 13 years and there was no attack from Marley, no wall destruction, no Carla. I feel things could have been very different. A potential chance at peace. But sadly Marley is hell bent on making Paradis extinct. Even with them oblivious and not leaving the Island for the forseeable decade they chose to try and crush paradis. This is partially why I feel I am a Yeagerist. For one, I just feel like I'd pick my family over someone elses in a death situation. Additionally, even if Zekes plan worked, I have high doubts Marley would stop attacking and leave them alone for 80-90 years until extinction. Armin, Eren, Zeke. 3 titans. A new one every 13 years. Atleast 6 generations of titans each in that 80 years. Thats a total of 18 different people. Marley would never allow that to exist still out of fear of an attack. So I feel despite a bit extreme, Eren did what he had to. Or what he thought was the best safety option for his friends and people.

They never say if the Founding Titan is what granted the Ackerman clan their powers. All the manga says it that they are byproducts of "titan science", and left it as vague as that. But yeah, they are still Subjects of Ymir/ Eldians.

I believe an Ackerman can't be changed because they are a different race, not subjects of Ymir. And about transfusing spinal fluid from an Ackerman to someone who turned to a pure titan, I think it would be like a transfusion between different species, because regular humans and subject of Ymir are soo different in their biology thanks to the otherworldly parasite or whatever that is xD.

They are Subjects of Ymir, but they are basically Titans already, just in human form. Thus the greater strength relative to their size and durability, as well as their ability to "activate" and inherit the combat knowledge of all past Ackermans. So no, they are not a different race. They can't be turned into Titans since they already are Titans, essentially.

It was mentioned while eren was imprisoned and he had a dream about his dad's past that when a shifter died without transferring the titan's power, It will be passed on some random baby (eldian) but I am not sure about the founder. If that's the same case for the founding titan, then it is a NO, it will not end.

i think at one point eldians (ymir and king fritz's bloodline) did conquer the world but than after several titan wars between nations that also used titan powers from eldians (including marley), the eldian king at that time decided to moved to paradis island and renouncing the war (willy tybur's story) and the reminding eldians all around the world started to get persecuted after the war ended... it's actually sad to know that ymir never really have her own free will to used her own power but forced as a slave by king fritz to built his own empire that cost generational hatred
