This show is really good at making the different teams have a strategy, and presenting it in a way where it is not obvious how Karasuno is going to overcome it, and then coming up with a great solution, that the viewer might not have thought of. In this episode, it was the problem where the quick spike from Hinata, which is usually never blocked, is now consistently being blocked. They had introduced an attack which in the viewers eyes seemed like an impossible obstacle for all of Karasuno's opponents, but then rather quickly showed us that it is not as strong as we thought. This sort of development happens throughout the show, which really helps with keeping the show interesting.
