idk I remembered that Thorkell was in the first episode the first time I watched it... I guess I'm the minority here, most reactors I've watched that watches vinland saga don't remember who Thorkell is.

The deeper into this anime reaction journey we go, the more I realize, how reactors watch it (usually) is different from how you or most "normal" watchers view it. Reactors are watching several shows a day and only one or 2 episodes of each anime every few days, so the memory is a bit different and harder to remember specifics of every character of every show. people dont really realize how different the watching experience is when you are reacting. This is not a shot at you, but just a comment to your point! I think you are 100% correct.

I looked it up and thorkell was a real Viking back in the day I also looked up this sumo guy from ragnarok from Netflix show and what they said about him was true I was impress such strong sumo existed back in the day

you can actually see Thorkell in the first episode fighting side by side with thorfinn's father. But i understand if you don't remember him cause start of new anime a lot to take in and many new names and faces.
