One thing I appreciate in this show is how quiet the non-action scenes are. It makes the sometimes sudden action sequences more impactful when it cuts through the silence.

I was level (age) 24 when the twin towers got attacked, I remember all of it. Very surreal. Anyhow, you all might be right about that part. Cause to the left of that tower, it looks like the Empire State building, I could be wrong though 🤔 And no, I don't think that was a random kid, im pretty sure that was top knot guy (I don't remember his name 🤣)

also i'd be willing to believe that the shot of the tower is a reference to the attack on the twin towers. i doubt the author means it was the literal 9/11 since makima says it was an armed attack/why would a plane attack increase fear of guns, but like if you tell me "terror attack" and "america" and show me a burning skyscraper, im gonna think of 9/11
