To me the coffee cups is a representation of the old man (Kuzen) and his wife/babymomma, specifically the white and orange cups. Then they had a child so the new cup was added (blue/turquoise cup). When the wife /babymomma died one of the orange white cups got broken thus leaving only the other 2 meaning father and child is still alive.

Kuzen left behind his kid so he can fight off the pursuers, but someone picked the kid up during this time.
