I think you are onto something Ron, vlogs and motivational videos are two completely different types of content. To try to combine them into one, I feel would just give you a headache (and I fear it wont be successful anyways). I think it is unclear for you what exactly a vlog is and what it isn't, so here are my thoughts: The purpose of vlogs (or the reason why people watch them) is to feel like they are with you IRL and spending time with you on a day to day basis. This can include fun, laughter, mundane things, or real sadness, honestly, and vulnerability. Regardless, you shouldn't feel like you have to always embed a motivational message, in fact, I think the message is something that is delivered on a subconscious level. For example, your friends in real life don't spend time with you because you give a motivational message. They spend time with you because they enjoy spending time with you, whether mudane, or totally awesome, or even sad and heartbreaking. Hopefully, the type of message that you want your audience to get is a positive one, but I think this is done subconsciously; it is the underlying message/theme of your life and the content that you share. Now, if you want to create motivational videos specifically, you totally can, I just think it would not be a "vlog," but rather a totally different type of content where you look at the camera and are speaking/preaching whatever message that you want to say. I think the type of message you naturally are giving at the moment is a positive one, that emphasizes the values of having hope, staying consistent with something to succeed, and laughing and enjoying the process. All very good messages, 99% of which I picked up not through one video, but throughout all of your reactions that I've watched. Hope that is helpful!
