In these words and in the whole movement of her body, one could clearly see some kind of indignation and anger, at the same time with a feeling of losing something that she cherished very much.

And it really was so, Amanda, who a few minutes ago was George, did not hide this and showed with her whole appearance that she was angry. Although she was here alone and there was no one to show it to.

Finally, turning her angry indignant face and seeing her reflection, she laughed hysterically in such a way that it even looked a little frightening. She glanced first at the reflection, then at the clothes that lay on the bed - a short tight pencil skirt, a blue blouse and a small lady's handbag with a cosmetic bag open next to it, continuing her hysterical laughter from the realization of the hopelessness of her situation and that she could not do anything to return her life back

The portal in the mirror, as soon as she got there, was no longer working and it looked like an ordinary mirror. Few would believe Amanda now, in 1999, that she was here from 2023. And it was even more difficult to explain to anyone, especially the fact that in fact she really had not even been born yet and was a guy named George for 20 years, and not a 38-year-old female secretary.

There was already a knock on the door and Amanda still continued her hysterical laughter, not knowing that this knock was just a formality. Her boss Roger already had the key to her room, because on this business trip they agreed in the morning that they would spend the evening together and gave each other duplicate keys to the hotel room. Therefore, after some time of formal knocking, the door opened and Amanda opened her eyes in shock to a slightly surprised Roger, who confidently entered and closed the door behind him.
