Part 5

"Mary, I need you go to the market." said Mrs. Miggins as soon as William walked into the kitchen "Here's a list of things you need to buy." she handed him a list and plastic card. "What are you standing still for, go, hurry!"

"Wait, Mrs. Miggins!" William waved his hand "What a'bout... guests today? Aren't I'm need't' help here, in kitchen?" it was the only thing he could come up with in such a short amount of time. That trip could avoid him a chance to meet his parents, and besides, William never actually left this mansion during these 2 weeks after his transformation. So, even the simple thought of going outside like a real girl and make a walk at the street... frightened him more than anything else.

"It seems to me, or you can't understand simple English language?" Mrs Miggins frowned her brows and placed hands on hips, staring at Mary with disapproval. "Lady Penelope personally assigned the list of duties to each and every one of us. And yours is to go to the market and back as fast as you can. Why do you even ask, silly girl?"

"Right, 'scuse me.." whispered William quietly, looking at the list and felt the awkward gaze of all the maids who was preparing everything for upcoming guests, and to be precise for his parents. For a few seconds he froze thinking what else to say before his eyes noticed that he was wearing maid's dress with apron that was part of the uniform. He had no other clothes, and he couldn't walk around town like that, it was too much for him. "Ah can't go in ma'... this uniform. What'bout... Martha? Why did'ya sent her as usual? Why'm ah here now?"

"What nonsense you're blabbering about now, Mary?! I've had enough of this." she shouted at him and crossed hands "You and Marta are always took turns. Don't you remember? Or you again started imagining yourself someone else?! Girls are talking behind your back how you often talk strange... Ohh..." softening her tone a little and rubbing her forehead, she added "Put on a coat, it's a chilly weather outside."

Thank you.." said William softly and with sadness turned and walked back, as a result almost bumping into Mr. Lavinia - Lady's Penelope husband. "Ahhh. Ah'm so sorry, sir, sorry.." he squeaked, feeling awkward under the strong gaze of this elderly gentleman who had a shaggy mustache which looked almost like a hedgehog, which always made William smile when he was a boy. But now William didn't want to look at all at him, hurrying up away from the kitchen under dissatisfaction lowing of Mr. Lavinia. "He always looks at me so strangely now..."

Part 6

Watching with silent anger, how a small car stayed next to the gate of market parking, William calmed his emotions down and went inside this large market. Inside he was trying to not notice how people who passed near him sometimes looked at his... at her. Especially men, and once, a large guy who was wearing a jacket with "police" text on the back, was staring for almost a whole 10 seconds at his breasts which were bouncing slightly every time he made a step.

"We drove here for several hours from the mansion. The last thing I want is for my parents to leave before we have a chance to talk." he thought, standing next to the large shelves, full of different fruits and vegetables. "What the hell am I doing here?! I should have been in the kitchen!" then his thoughts suddenly were interrupted by a voice of salesman.

"What a beautiful young woman we have here, I've never seen her before." he was looking at William for a few long seconds, who blushed in shame, looking down and feeling awkward from this whole situation. William wasn't ready to get attention of a stranger, especially if it is a middle-aged man who's smiling like if he was interested not only in his shopping, but also in his "fruits". "Are you from Lady Penelope's residence, young lady? Are you today instead of Martha?"

"Eh...?" he blinked in surprise, realizing that salesman knows Martha, but probably doesn't know him, or better to say Mary and it was strange, lthough during this two weeks everyone was treating him like if he lived in the mansion for few years and Mrs. Miggins mentioned at the morning in kitchen that he and Martha were taking turns when someone needs to go to the market, and today it's Mary's turn. So William was confused - why why salesman don't recognizes him?

"Ma'am?" man asked, make a concerned look. "Is something wrong?"

"Somet'ing' wro..." he stopped, noticing his bad pronunciation, so William silently cursed and corrected himself. "Sorry, ahm... No, sir, ah... mhm... I just wanted to..."

"Excuse me, Mary." said man suddenly and interrupted William's confused babble. "I haven't introduced you to Peter yet, have I? My nephew." he waved his hand and then William saw a tall guy wearing a simple suit who was looking at him with the smile "Peter, this is Mary Smith from the Lady Penelope's estate. Mary, this is my nephew, Peter. He is visiting me from the London University to do research for his thesis, the smart lad."

"What...? Wait, how you..." whispered William quietly, raising his head up to look at this guy, who seemed to William just a giant. But his mind was more filled with something else - how man knew his full name and why he was starting suddenly talking like if he knows him for a long time.

"Hello, nice to meet you." Peter nodded his head and extended his hand to William. "My uncle talked a lot about you. Did you recently have a birthday? Happy belated birthday, by the way. How old are you now?"

"She turned 18 last week." the uncle smiled at his nephew, while William just stood without saying a word, his mind was full of questions about why this guy knows him and even about his birthday which was last week, when William was 18 years old etc. "She's been working in the kitchen since the age of 14, a very hardworking and dedicated young woman, and very pretty." From these words William's cheeks flushed even more and he felt an unfamiliar warmth in his chest.

"It's nah' true..." William mumbled softly, feeling awkward and embarrassed because of these compliments that were not addressed to him, but rather to this fake "Mary" person.

"Oh, well, don't be shy, Mary." the man laughed and patted Peter's shoulder. "She's also a very shy and modest girl! Well, anyway, Peter, I need to take a call, so, please help Mary with the list and show her the best products." he winked at his nephew and turned, leaving them alone.

Part 7

For a trip to the market William had to spend the whole day and only in the evening he managed to return home. In fact, William wanted to talk with his parents as soon as possible, but his plan failed due to the fact that his parents weren't at the mansion when he returned from the market. Nobody told him why, and he didn't want to ask anyone. So, he just returned to his "work" and after a few hours he found himself in the maid's bathroom, standing in front of the mirror and examining his appearance.

"It's still... me, right?" he whispered softly, adjusting his lacy blue panties with the bow on the side. He remembered how 2 weeks ago he refused to wear this underwear when he had to dress into the maid's outfit, because he considered it... "too ridiculous" and "cheap". But now... now, he not only wore it, but he was also wearing a matching bra, which made him feel uncomfortable, especially because of these stupid straps, which were digging into his shoulders, constantly reminding him that he is wearing a bra and has tits.

Long wet hair fell over his shoulders and back, dripping water and wetting his bra, but William didn't want to take towel and dry it, because it's reminded him about the fact that he had long hair and was a girl. His mind was filled with questions. Remembering this day he remembered how strange it was when the seller suddenly started talking like if he knew him for a long time. And then this guy Peter, he helped him with a purchase, and then treated him with a coffee and bought a chocolate muffin for him.

"Ughhh..." William shook his head and tried to forget what he felt in his stomach, when Peter called him cute, especially this moment when he told him that he likes his mole. "Nah... No, it's jus'... a mistake. Ah'm a man, not a girl. A man, not a girl." he repeated several times this phrase like a mantra, but when his eyes fell on the reflection in the mirror, he couldn't resist and again looked at his mole under the left eye. "And what is so beautiful about it? Why did he like it? It's just a damn mole!" William thought, and he felt how the warmth in his stomach began to move down.

"How long are you going to stare at yourself?" the voice of the Martha made William startle. He wasn't alone. She was standing near the door and looked at him with the smile. "Or you fell in love with yourself and don't want to leave your reflection?

"N-no." he whispered quickly and grabbed the towel, hurriedly trying to dry his hair. "No, no, ah'm just..."

"Just what, Mary? Why are you so nervous?" she raised an eyebrow, watching how William's nipples became more visible under the soaked material of his bra. "What's the matter, you're cold? Or are you... excited?" she laughed softly and stepped closer, making William feel even more awkward. "Is it all because of this guy? How was it? Pete?"

"No! Ah'am not. It's not like tha'." he replied angrily and wrapped a towel around his shoulders, hiding his tits. "An' ahm not... cold."

"You should see your face! It's as red as a tomato!" Martha laughed and poked his shoulder with her forefinger. "Oh, come on, Mary, stop being so shy. It's normal. You're a healthy girl-"

"Stop it, please. Ah'm not... a girl." whispered William and walked to the door.

"Oh, okay-okay, sorry, you are not a girl... you are already a woman!" Martha corrected herself, still laughing. "Come on, Mary, I didn't mean any offense, really. You can tell me everything, it's fine." she added, seeing that Mary didn't say anything. "Peter is a good guy. He is polite, handsome and very promising, but, honestly, he's a complete beggar, because, you know, he is a student, and his family is poor. But I'm sure, for you he is a perfect match! Don't miss your lucky chance, girl."

Part 8

During the next few weeks William continued to live his life, or rather the life of this fake Mary Smith. Every day was filled with various household chores. In general, William tried not to attract any unnecessary attention to himself, especially from Mr. Lavinia who was often staring at him when William was washing the windows, or carrying plates to the table. Sometimes when he noticed that the man was watching him, Mr. Lavinia winked and gave him a sly smile or licked his lips with his tongue, which was disgusting.

It's been more than a month since the change and William finally decided that it was enough. He needed to somehow talk with his aunt, and the best time for such a conversation was today, when his duty was to bring tea to his aunt, who was sitting in the salon and reading a newspaper.

"Lady Penelope, your tea." he said, walking into the salon slowly and carefully. "Is there anything else ah can do for you?"

"Oh, Mary, no, it's okay." his aunt replied, not even looking at him, just flipping pages. "But wait a minute, did you put two spoons of sugar and swirl it three times clockwise?"

"Of course, ma'am." William nodded his head and walked closer, standing nearby. "Maybe, ahh, ahm..." he tried to start, but couldn't find the correct words, nervously squeezing the hem of the dress behind him with her small hand. "Can ah... can I ask you somethin'?"

"Go ahead, Mary." she sighed softly, closing her eyes for a second, but not stopping turning pages.

"Ah... Ah'm... (gulp) How much longer ahm I gonna live here? When ah'm finally goin' home?" his voice trembled and his throat suddenly became dry. He was afraid to hear the answer, and his heart was pounding in his chest.

"Home? What are you talking about, Mary?" his aunt opened her eyes and frowned her brows. "Are you sick? You have no home. You live and work here since your father died." she lowered her gaze back to the newspaper. "Or you want to leave, huh?"

"Yes, Ma'am. I think ah'am already learned what you taught me. Please, chan'ge me back." whispered William, but Lady Penelope only raised her eyebrow, and looked at him sharply.

"What are you talking about, Mary? Change you back? Into what, for example?" her face showed a mixture of surprise and curiosity. "And where is this home you're talking about?"

"Into... Wai'am, an' I have home, of course! The Harker Manor!" he raised his voice a little, forgetting his place.

"William?! Harker?! That's a new one, Mary." his aunt laughed and threw her newspaper aside. "William Harker is my nephew, he is travelling the world and living his life, he never worked in a kitchen and I'm sure that he's definitely not a woman. Oh God..." she covered her mouth with her hand, trying to not laugh too loud.

"Ya changed ma' body... ahm... turned me into a girl, ahh, made me work in a kitchen, ahn, ahm..." his voice cracked and his vision blurred from forming tears. "Why are ya laughin' at me?!"

"What's gotten into you, silly girl?" his aunt stopped laughing, stood up and walked closer to him, looking at him with a serious gaze. "Mary Smith, stop these foolish games! Enough! You've gone too far! Mrs. Miggins told me you were behaving strangely these past few weeks, but I didn't expect..." she crossed her arms, and waited until Mary looked at her. "Anyway, today is a great day, so I will forget and forgive you for these ridiculous accusations if you immediately apologize and will return to your work."

"But I'm no'..." Mary whispered softly and lowered her head. "Sorry... I'm sorry, Lady Penelope." she added quietly, not looking up and taking tray with the teacup into her hands. She sniffed and, wiping her cheek from the tear with her wrist, returned to the kitchen to wash the teacup. "That was... stupid... as usual...Mary Smith, pff! And she really... thinks that I'm a crazy maid... But what if... maybe, I'm really the crazy one..." she thought, washing dishes and occasionally wiping away her tears. "No... no... I'm not! I'm not crazy. She has turned me into a woman, she did something to all the people, something... magical..."

Mary for a long time after this conversation was not able to explain to herself what actually happened, why everyone around believes that she has always lived here, until when suddenly in the middle of August, after a few months after the change, Mary saw how William Harker coming in with his bride-to-be. It was very surprising because William's face was completely different from how real William looked when he, more precisely Mary, last saw herself in the mirror before her transformation. And noticeably older, about 30 years old, but this didn’t bother everyone around at all.

Unfortunately she didn't know that Lady Penelope used the same magic on real Mary Smith when she changed William's gender. Magic not only changed the body, but also affected people around person and even memory. So, Mary Smith was really a hard-working maid of Lady Penelope for many years and very devoted, that is why to replace William, so that no one notices his disappearance, Lady Penelope chose her, of course temporarily. But unfortunately the spell worked too strong and after some time, Lady Penelope was absolutely sure and certain that this young one Mary Smith is exactly the woman who grew and lived in her house like a real Mary.

Lord Lorac

I like the story. And once in a while, It's good to have a character not too unlucky. I think she Can have a good life once she let go her Old one.

GreenTG

Thank you. I really worked surprisingly hard on this story and on the images as well, and in the context of this I am especially pleased to read the response to this story. And I’m not sure yet, but there is an idea to add an epilogue in which I wanted to add the moment of her acceptance of the new reality. P.S. Did I understand the comment correctly that you are more interested in stories when the character is happy about the transformation and everything is fine with him throughout the story? Such a fairy tale, when there is no suffering and a person is not forcibly transformed?

Lord Lorac

I don't like when the transformation is willing. It's more of accepting your fate and making it better. Still, it's good that they're rare. I prefer (for exemple) when people are Trap in the past with a bad situation, such as slave. But once in a while, a good ending IS enjoyable. So I'm glad for William, I mean Mary. Hoping she and Peter will have a happy life.

GreenTG

I understand. Well, in any case, I completed the dialogue and it seems to me that this suits your request.
