I’m so happy 😭😭 this love is my favorite on 1989 and it’s always been in my top 20 and it is PERFECT 😭😭😭 her vocals, the lyric changes, the BRIDGE omg also I have two theories 1) idk if anyone else remembers, but I very clearly remember this tweet bc when 1989 first came out my initial favs were this love and wildest dreams And I specifically remember this tweet bc of that, lorde tweeted “this love and wildest dreams are two sparkly gems” and I was like omg we have the same favs — well what if she released wildest dreams and this love bc she’s gonna collab with lorde????? I will die And 2) back when she did that tiktok that said “country girls can’t go pop” and she posted the “mama said that it was okay” sound with shania twain, everyone thought she was going to release 2 versions of 1989 bc Shania had that album with country and pop versions but what if it’s not two versions of the same album but the country release is going to be speak now and the pop release is 1989 as a double release and that’s why she was teasing both????

tbh I love those theories. But at the same time I think it wouldn't be the best decision because all of her albums since Fearless debuted at #1 and she would ruin that streak with that. And also imagine getting both of those albums at the same time (or week apart). Especially since with the vault tracks the albums are about two hours (it is safe to assume Speak Now might be even longer than Red). At least for me it would be so overwhelming, I wouldn't enjoy neither of them. Or would block out 1989 and focus on Speak Now which I would be sad about because this is my chance to fall in love with the album (the first try failed miserably :D).

I have specifically ALWAYS felt like it was a pipe dream of mine, but I really really want her to pull a Shania with Reputation specifically. Because everyone talks about how "different" Taylor is now, and I swear (maybe it's the piano training in me) during rep. all I heard was the way each song could be stripped back to acoustic -- I mean the album essentially progresses to that throughout -- because the lyrics and melodies feel singer songwriter! And I NEED a full acoustic Reputation (especially because now having heard acoustic tour performances and such we know they will be superior?!)
