This series is not scared to talk/show sensitive topics and I think I'm appreciating how they're doing it

The new layout works well! :) I'm so happy to see you enjoying the details and different points of view, it was very refreshing for me to watch a pirate show that tries to depict how things were instead of the classic stereotypes (they are still not 100% accurate of course but I'm ok with that). The ships in this show are characters themselves, and very sexy ones 😂😍 Yeah I just love sailships ^_^ Fun fact for you: they actually built two full ships using blueprints from that period; the Walrus (Flint's ship) they built was about 42 meters long. They didn't sail in high sea of course but they built a huuuge water tank to place the ships in for the sailing scenes. Another thing I love about this show is the quality of the special effects and this is due to the fact they mostly (but not only of course) used practical effects and you can see how better good practical effects looks compared to the CGI. For example I remember watching in a "making of" how they used micro-charges to make the explosions on the ship and the splinters you see are real (at least part of them). "The viewer is getting initiated too" is the best description of that scene I've ever heard! <3 Oh and yeah, they don't shy away from sensitive topics. I hate when shows try to lighten those topics (there is an expression for that but I can't remember it now) like if that would change history or something. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think there is anything wrong in tackle sensitive topics and show them for what they are/were if it's done right. I keep sending you these longs comments haha sorry, I hope you don't mind, but if you do just let me know :D

ohhhh i didn't know they made replicas for the ships! That's so cool! Yes I think the practical effects made it seem more realistic for sure and no worries I don't mind the long comments at all. Thank you for sharing with me (:
