I'm still at the beginning of the episode but since you mentioned your pauses, I want to say something before I forget XD Your analysis and comments on HotD and Peaky Blinders are what made me like you and your channel so much, they are entertaining, on point and I like that you pick up on details; and even when your theories are wrong it's stil interesting to listen to your reasoning. Many reactors cut the videos short for different reasons, for example being kinda obsessed with the algorithm and the watch time, but you and some others are the perfect example that is possible to still have quality in the reactions scene and not just opened mouths, screams and "oh my god". So yeah, at least for me, your pauses and thoughts are very much welcomed! <3 Especially for a deep and intricated show like this.

So the "Choose your captain" begins :D It's always so fun to watch people cheering for this or that captain throughout the whole show and often being conflicted about the choice ^_^ I'm not gonna elaborate or comment on that until you saw at least S1 though. I too appreciate a lot all the details about the crews internal structures and stuff like the careening too. Pirates are basically always portrayed as the same stereotype we all know, but here you learn about their codes, voting system, jobs and roles on the ship, real motives and way of life... even accounting! And it's thanks to Black Sails that I learned why is used the "knot" to measure speed on water. Despite not being 100% accurate (like pirates clothing), this show did such a great job portraying this era. 21:52 the scene with Flint riding a horse on the beach the Walrus tipped in the background has been my desktop background for a lot of time. All the careening scenes and shots were mindblowing to me <3
