Applebloom rolled on to her side and thought about the events of last night. The journey with Luna to help the young colt Stone Mane with his nightmare problems. His battle with a gigantic dragon and her creating a huge cannon for him to destroy the nightmare with.
She never imagined she'd ever do anything that amazing. That incredible and wondrous; in fact doing something like this would just kind of thing that would give a foal their...
Quickly the little filly whipped the blankets and looked at her flank.
Applejack was stirring pancake batter in the kitchen. She enjoyed mornings. They we're always full of so much potential and yet so quiet and....
“OH COME ON!”
When the Element of Honesty ears stopped ringing she went up stairs to discover the source of the acoustic explosion. Big Mac was sticking his head out of the bathroom with a baffled, concerned look. He looked at AJ and shrugged his shoulder and dropped into line behind her as AJ made a beeline for Applebloom's room. One could still hear the little filly stomping and throwing a tantrum.
“Ya all care ta explain what all the hollering is about little bloom?” Asked AJ as she strolled into her little sister's room. “What's dun gone got ya all worked up this early in the morning?”
“It's not fair I tell ya!” Exclaimed the little filly. “It's not fair! I fought a dragon! I made a giant cannon! I helped another pony with his a nightmares. I did something even Princess Luna couldn't a do! AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY CUTIE MARK?!” Applebloom was desperately poking her butt with a front hoof.
“Twists got hers for just making candy! Diamond Tiara got hers for just being annoying! What do I have ta do ta get mine?”
The little filly looked at her sister in desperation. “Big sis. I have some kind of medical condition. Maybe I need a potion or something because there is no way I shouldn't have my cutie mark after what Luna and I did last night!”
AJ pushed her Stetson back with a front hoof. “Um, look sugar cube. Why don't we go down and I'll make ya some breakfast and then ya can explain this all ta Big Mac and I”
So much for a quiet morning. Thought the mare as she led her sister down the stairs.
To be continued.
