Once Stone Mane's steamer trunk had been retrieved and loaded on the Apple Family wagon Link it was a relatively quick trip back to Sweet Apple Acres in my Equestria dreamscape. For the next 5 and a half weeks Stone Mane would be living the guest bedroom across from Applebloom's room.

After unpacking his luggage and a quick lunch prepared by Granny Smith the colt spent the rest of afternoon with Applebloom as she gave him a detailed tour of the farm and the surrounding orchards. During his brief, previous visit Link Stone Mane had watched Applebloom perform her afternoon chores around the farm, but for the duration of this stay at Sweet Apple Acres the colt would have his own chores around the farm that he'd have to perform daily in the morning and afternoon.

Under most circumstances the colt would've, like most foals his age, groaned and then begrudgingly gone about doing them, and it was no small list of chore he had to do. However he didn't mind the labors. Because these were chores he would be doing with Applebloom. This was part of her daily life. Just as much as seasons effected the fortunes of her family. This was her world, and Stone Mane was eager learn everything he could about it.

To be continued.

This Saturday 10/02/21 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I'll be streaming on Picarto. Link

In spite of all the adversity, challenges, and setbacks facing them there is still hope for them in the future.

Having grown up on a farm myself chores are always better with company especially if they're willing. Not only helps the work go faster but allows you to hang out with someone who genuinely enjoys your company just as much as you do theirs. Hopefully the pair of them cherish these moments because they'll not come again. But at the very least I know both of them will have some happy memories for the years to come. Really well done on this and enjoy these kinds of pieces because it's like you get several in one. To say nothing of just enjoying how you convey a scene without really needing any dialog at all :)
