I just got my results.

Your test result for COVID-19 was negative (also called not detected).

So apparently I don't have it. Therefore I must have gotten the flu, despite getting the shot, or I've got a bad case of the winter cold. I still don't feel great but at least I don't have to worry about that.

That’s excellent news! I know it doesn’t help the yuck ya have but it’s good it’s not scary yuck. Hope you feel better soon!

It still feels weird to normalize "oh no it is / at least it's not" for a particular disease like it's some sort of predator, but those are the times we live in. Congrats on the better-than-the-alternative news and hope you recover soon.

Here’s to not being a covid victim! And here’s to hoping what you have clears quickly!

That’s wonderful news! I’m so glad to hear it. :D A cold/flu is still no fun, but at least you know what to expect with it. Take your time and heal up!

Fun fact... I had to get a flu shot every year in the Marines. Every year, exactly three days later, I was incapacitated for anything from four days to a week. Haven't gotten a flu shot since I got out in 2007. Strangely, I also haven't gotten the flu since 2007. Coincidence? You decide. 😜

Many flu variations out there. Shot only covers worse 4. Just good you don’t have the COVID-19. I’ve seen it take a few friends and lay quite a few out for some time.

Great news. That being said, if the CMC are in charge of your recovery, I don't like your chances. :-)

Wonderful news! Still it's bad you're sick, but at least it's not the worst case. Get a lot of rest, drink a lot of fluids, and get some flu/cold medicine regularly and everything should be fine before you know it. We'll be waiting for the news of your recovery!
