Thrust and Parry (Patreon)

Another of the drawings I started during my most recent Picarto stream. The theme of the stream pirates, so I drawing Captain Celaeno battling one of the Storm King's minions from the MLP movie was a natural. 

     The biggest trick I had doing this drawing during the stream was fitting both figures on a piece of 8.5" x 11" of paper. I did it but just barely. I need to remember bring some 11" x 17" Neenah paper over to keep at Caerdywn's studio for pieces like this.  It would've allowed me to have done an even more dynamic composition. But that's part of the learning process, and even after decades of drawing there's always something new for me to learn and remember.
