"What dreams or visions do you seek from me? I can grant them for a price. A small, trivial price. So what do you say? Interested?"

Another of the drawings I started during my most recent Picarto stream. I am rather fond of a good glass of absinthe.

So when the request for me to draw Chrysalis as a genie or a mischievous version of green fairy I went for it. After all its her color. Now for this drawing I decided to forego the rather segmented, scaled appearance that I usually draw her with. Instead I went with smooth finish more like how the show portrays her.

The hysteria surrounding it in the 19th century was due to unscrupulous distillers coloring their wares with toxic copper salts. Vineyards in France who were seeing absinthe beginning to claim part of their market, and conservatives and prohibitionist who opposed the Bohemian movement which was a major consumer of absinthe.

Hmmm. Price versus reward. Indeed a conundrum. Let’s sleep on it.😏

I'm reminded of the questions from "Babylon 5". The Shadows asked, "What do you want?" The Vorlons asked, "Who are you?"
