The Ritual (Patreon)

Another of the drawings I started during my most recent Picarto stream.  It was a request for an anthropomorphic Twilight Sparkle performing some magicial ritual. I asked the person making the request two questions:

      1. Was Twilight a unicorn or an alicorn in the piece?

      2. Would this be something that could've appeared in the anthro, MLP, fantasy sword and sorcery dream I had a few months ago?

      There answer yes she was just a unicorn and yes it could be from that setting. So with those answers my most active muse Petina jumped into action and started rummaging around in subconscious and dug up this scene from the dream for inspiration. 

      Born into a modest merchant family Twilight's talent has allowed her to rise and become one the Royal Sisters most trusted and valuable court members. Her intuitive grasp of magical theory, combined with years of intensive study has made her a mage with few equals.  Only the Royal Sisters, Starlight Glimmer, and Sunset Shimmer can match or exceed in magical potential.
