Yesterday I posted a drawing of Pinkie Pie with a snub-nose magnum revolver. Guest list  After the piece went up several people commented that they thought it was a J-frame S&W. This was incorrect however. The revolver is built on the Large N-frame used for the S&W Model 27 and Model 29. In this case it was based on the S&W Model 58 in .41 Magnum. Link

In this case the revolver has been customized for improved double-action shooting and quick holster draws.  Many of the features are similar to those found on the iconic Colt Fitz-Specials of the 1920s through the 40s. Link  Ian of Forgotten Weapons did a video about them. Link

While many of the Fitz Specials were done using smaller frame Colt .38 revolvers, there were also some done using the larger New Service revolver in .45 Long Colt.  The New Service revolver is similar in size to the N-Frame.

Amazingly well designed!

It's based on several actual revolvers I have in my visual reference collection.
