Another Patreon reward. This time for a longtime friend, client, patron, and all around nice guy Richard Westberry. In fact he's one of the individuals who got me into fandom back in  1989. Now he's built up quite a few months in his favor so I decided to  surprise him and do something special!

He has a passionate  love for blackpowder firearms and in particular a fascination with the  Baker Rifle and the Prince Consort's Own of the Napoleonic Wars.  Commonly known as the 95th Rifles. Link made famous in the Bernard Cornwall's novels and the TV series that arose from it.

Now before Napoleonic military buffs pick me apart about certain  details I may have gotten wrong in this piece please understand that  from getting the idea to do this. Quickly gathering the reference for  it. And doing the final drawing, it was only 4 and a half hours. So this  was not an extensively researched.

Also from what I've read  about the Napoleonic Wars, units that spent any extended amount of time  in the field quickly lost their crisp, consistent, uniform appearance  as garments and shoes wore out and were either replaced with whatever  the soldiers could buy, trade, steal, or loot from the bodies of the  dead.

Oh wow, I don't have the words. This is the best piece of art done of the character to date.

Well I wanted to do the character justice and unit he represented since you are both very knowledgeable of the 95th Rifles and the Baker Rifle itself. Of which I had never realized how big the bayonet was for the Baker until I did some homework!

In a furry version of the Napoleonic wars, Sharp probably would have been as Badger...suits his personality! Good one! THE COLONEL
