Applebloom remembered Granny Smith telling her that the brew that she made was the secret to a long and happy life in my Equestria dreamscape.

But as the morning dawned after her trying said brew all the filly wanted was a quick, merciful death. Applebloom woke up with of a screaming headache, blurry vision, an angry stomach, and a foul tasting mouth. It was later than when the filly normally woke up in the morning. After several minutes of lying there the filly finally flopped out of her bed and staggered off to the bathroom.

After many minutes she exited the bathroom only to find Stone Mane leaning against a wall in the hallway. By the look in his eyes the colt felt as miserable as she did. He then staggered into bathroom himself. The filly was considering crawling back into bed when her big sister came up the stairs. Instead of her usually smiling face Applejack the mare gave the filly a rather serious expression.

"Yer's and Stone's breakfast is ready fer ya. Come on down and eat it. Then we've gotta have a chat." Then she promptly turned around and trotted down the stairs.

Reluctantly the filly made her way down the stairs with wobbly legs. Waiting for her was some buttered toast, a glass of water, cup of tea, and a tin of foalsmane leaves. Applejack was taking care of some bookkeeping and didn't acknowledge the filly's arrival. Not feeling very chatty herself the filly started eating the food in front of her while washing down several foalsmane leaves. A few minutes later Stone Mane came down and silently started eating his food as well.

As the 2 foals finished up their breakfast Applejack got up and trotted to the front door. She opened it and gave a series of sharp whistles. Then she closed the door and went into the kitchen. A few seconds later she returned and sat down at the table. After a bit Big Macintosh came trotting in and Granny Smith slowly came out of the kitchen. They all sat down around table and looked at the foals. AJ was the first to speak.

"Stone. Normally I would I expect yer kin ta talk ta ya what happened yesterday, but since yer aunt and uncle r' all the way in Baltimare, and this all happened on r' land we reckon." AJ looked at Big Mac and Granny and then back the colt. "We would talk ta ya as well."

The mare leaned forward. "Now what we wanna know is how ya 2 got inta the shed, and what happened after that. Besides the fact ya 2 were drunk as skunks yesterday" Link

Over the next half hour the 2 foals gave an account of what they could remember after they entered the shed. Finally their story came to an end. The foals looked down at the floor. After a moment Applebloom said.

"I'm sorry ta everypony fer what we did."

"Same for me." Stone Mane added.

For several seconds nopony said a word. Finally AJ leaned back in her chair and pushed her Stetson back. After looking down at the table for a few seconds she looked the foals in the eyes.

"Okay. It appears ya 2 have learned yer lesson." She glanced over at Big Mac and then Granny. "So. As long as ya 2 don't go doin it again we'll count it as lesson learned. But! If we catch ya doin that again then yer gonna be payin the fiddler. An ain't gonna be cheap. Do ya git what I'm sayin?"

The 2 foals slowly nodded their head. Applebloom spoke first. "Ya sis. I don't wanna ever touch that stuff again!"

Stone Mane belched loudly before speaking. "Same for me!"

AJ chuckled. "Now when yer a bit older ya might find yerself changin yer mind Link, and if ya keep yer wits it can be mighty fine, but ya 2 r' tu young fer it!"

The mare glanced over at Granny. "And in the future the shed is alway gonna be locked when not in use. Right?"

The old matriarch grumbled. "Yeah, yeah Applejack. I'll make sure it's all locked up!"

AJ smiled and then looked back at the 2 foals. "Now. Becuz ya 2 slept through yer morning chores Big Mac and I had ta do them fer ya. Sssoooo tomorrow mornin it only seems fair if ya 2 do r' chores fer us and Big Mac along with yer other mornin chores and we can sleep in. Right? Oh. And ya still have ta do yer afternoon chores taday."

The foals grumbled but begrudgingly accepted this judgement. They were in no mood to protest. Besides they both knew that their punishment could've be far worse. Granny grinned at them.

"Now ya 2 lil' mischief makers! There be a heapin stack of dishes that need a washin in the kitchen! And when yer dun ya can git on ta shuckin sum peas fer lunch!"

The foals sighed and slowly made their way toward the kitchen.

To be continued.
