After the discovery they made in Granny's shed the rest of the afternoon for Applebloom and Stone Mane was all a blur in my Equestria dreamscape. Link

Neither of them could remember exactly how many swigs they'd taken of stuff in the jug, but hadn't that much. No more than 3...well perhaps 4...maybe 5, but definitely not more than 6.

     Probably.

The foals couldn't determine if they had acquired a taste for it, or just didn't care after awhile. The one thing they for certain was that the world looked really weird now, and they felt really weird. Not necessarily bad, but whatever it was they'd drank it sure made them feel.....something.

Applebloom thought she understood now what Granny had said about this being the key to a long and happy life because she felt great! Yeah she was a bit wobbly at the moment. Okay. She was really wobbly, but she felt great. Stone Mane looked like he was having a grand time as well, and he was even cuter than usual this afternoon.

For his part Stone Mane had never experienced anything like this in his life. His head felt a bit puffy, but at the same time the colt felt like he was floating with his hooves above the ground. Also every time the colt looked at the filly her deep rose red mane seemed to be extra glossy, and her buttercream yellow coat appeared to be glowing in the late afternoon light.

Still they had to do the afternoon chores before dinner, and they were just a teensy weensy bit late at starting them, but no worry because the 2 foals just realized that there was all kinds of amazing ideas of how to speed up doing their chores.

When asked the next day what exactly their amazing ideas were neither of them could remember what they were. But whatever they were they'd finished them before the dinner bell was rung. So with big beaming smiles they marched in together through the front door of the farmhouse only to find Applejack standing there waiting for them with a very annoyed and confused look on her face.

"Hey ya 2. Where have ya been? I've been looking high and low fer ya 2. Did ya git yer chores done?"

Applebloom smiled and made a dismissively wave with a front hoof. "Dontcha whirly Appuljuck! We got dem dun!" She then giggled.

Stone Mane bobbled his head in agreement. "Yup! Yup! Wwwweeee got dem all dun AJ!"

The mare arched an eyebrow as she gave the 2 foals a quizzical look. "Ya 2 alright? Yer acting kinda odd?"

Stone Mane wasn't sure why, but looking up at AJ was making him kind of dizzy and the house seemed to be slowly spinning around. It was weird but it made him want to giggle. "Heh heh! It's alright AJ whir just, just huvin fun!"

Applebloom chimed in. "Yup! We've had ah fun time!" She staggered a little as she said this.

AJ cocked her head to one side and gave her sister the stink eye. "Ya don't sound alright Little Bloom, and yer acting odd?" The mare leaned forward to give her little sister a closer look and got whiff of the filly's breath. Her head snapped back and she called out.

"Granny! Can ya come out here fer a moment?" A moment later the old matriarch slowly came moseying out of the kitchen. "Eh AJ. Whatcha want?"

The mare pointed at the 2 foals. "Granny can ya give these 2 sniff tell me what ya think."

Grumbling about dinner cooking the old mare obliged and gave the foals a sniff. Her eyes went wide and she scowled at the foals. "Wut have ya been up tu?"

"Up ta wut?" AB asked as she wobbled a bit.

Granny squinted at the filly. "Have ya 2 drunk anythin?"

The filly gave Granny a big grin. "Yus we huv! Yer right Granny! Yer stuff is great!"

The old mare's eyes went wide. "Ya got in my shed?"

Stone Mane bobbled his head again. "Yep! The door wasn't locked su we–" He made a sweeping gesture with his front leg. "Tuk a luk inside! Ya know Grunny yu make amuzin stuff!"

AJ sat down on her haunches and pushed her Stetson back. "So what ya 2 r' saying is yer both pickled as a couple of cucumbers?"

The 2 foals looked each other and then back at the mares and smiled. "Yep! Wutever yu said!"

AJ shook her head. "Oh land sakes! Well ya won't be of any use fer the rest of the day." She pointed a hoof at the foals. "And when this is over we're gonna have chat. Y'all hear?"

The foals looked at each other confused and responded in unison. "Nah! Wur fin we–"

Then they promptly passed out and fell forward on their faces. About this time Big Mac came in the front door. "Hey sis why does Rodney the Rooster got a feed bucket fer a hat? And where–" The stallion then noticed the foals and looked back at AJ. The mare groaned.

"Long story Big Mac. I'll tell ya it later, but right now we need ta git these 2 inta bed, and Granny we might wanna git a couple of old soup pots fer their rooms. In case they wake suddenly and can't git ta the potty in time."

Then the mare and stallion sighed and the took care of the unconscious foals on the floor.

To be continued.

Good thing the farm's family business, and the stash a family product; else wise a place might get shutdown for that. Might since they helped themselves to it.

What happens in Apple Acres stays in Apple Acres. It's not like the foals wandered into a bar and got served drinks; this was on a homestead/farmstead. Private property allows for some level of liberty there. That's not saying they won't get a Very Serious Talk about what alcohol is and how to use it responsibly, but the law has little to say here.
