“TAKE ME TO THE RIVER” Im crying 😂😂😂

Tyler Scott

I think what makes this one a fan fav and classic episode too is that you could show this episode to anyone, even if they haven't seen any other episodes...and it gets across the humor, characters, themes, mob shit, etc of The Sopranos as a whole. Doesn't need any prior knowledge and doesn't spoil anything from the series either...it's just a perfect standalone episode. It's not my #1 fav episode but its def in the top 5-10 elite tier imo. 'What you been eating...steak?' 😂😂😂 that line always cracks me up...9.75/10 for me.

This episode is widely regarded as the best episode in the series. It reminds of 4 days out in Breaking Bad and Bagman in BCS. Our heros are stranded 🔥

Chris' facial expression reacting to Pauly saying "prick sucker punched me" gets me every time.

Been waiting for this one, the next couple episodes are also some of my favorites

The Ass Poo Man! That was awesome.

Gloria is smart, sexy, and Italian, not to mention fucking nuts. She knows Tony is a mob guy, but it hasn't computed for her that these guys play by a whole different set of rules than the guys she's used to. She's playing her little games and indulging herself in her narcissistic drama / hysteria, thinking that Tony has an endless supply of patience for her bullshit. She is a clueless side piece.

Fun fact about this episode: When Tony called Paulie to ask him to make Sil’s collection, he’s reading that small piece of paper with address on it. Well, that small piece of paper has the word “dick” written on it. It was done by the film crew to see if they could get James Gandolfini to laugh in middle of reading his lines.

I'm actually surprised yall didn't rate this one higher, it's crazy. Wire and Sopranos probably are two favorite shows, and I love how different they are. Each Wire season is basically like one long book or movie: everything connects and its one deep narrative. On The Sopranos, them mfers be doing anything, lol, but both work great.

Also when Tony laughs at Bobby, to make James Gandolfini actually laugh he walked into the scene with a massive strap on. So that laugh was conpletley real, you can even see Jun try not to crack a smile
