My wife and I were just taking about this film a couple of days ago! It stressed her out like no other movie. We couldn’t remember the name so I just stared at this upload blankly for a moment. Thank you for the request, a good one!!

I think he shot the heroin addict lying there because he saw himself. He loathed what he become, what he's spiraled into, and just executed himself without having the fortitude to actually commit suicide (that scene always stuck out to me).

(Sorry I'm blowing up the comments section, Liquid chose a great movie) Goddamn, Seymour Hoffman is an incredible actor. Yes, more of his stuff. HIs movies stress me out but he’s incredible. The most stressful for me are Before the Devil Find Out, Happiness, and Synecdoche, New York. Hoffman was playing a heroin addict in this movie but was also an addict. He struggled for years with heroin and might have been why he chose this character, he knew what the character would be going through. Sadly, the addiction was too much, and Hoffman died from a heroin overdose back in 2014 in West Village, NY. I keep thinking back to that performance where his character wanted to murder that dude lying the bed, that some of the emotion there, holding the pillow and the gun, might have actually been a bit real too. Just my own thoughts. One of the best film actors out there, perhaps ever.

I 100% was thinking this during my watch too. A scary real performance knowing his issues with addiction and depression. Definitely one of my favorite actors of all time. No matter how small the role may be he always stole the show. RIP.
