Basically in detective conan there are two kind of cases. One is the episodic case and the other is the case that advance the plot. That one opening that you mention giving different vibe was for the latter.

Damn... I surprised part 2 come this soon. 2nd part especially between 20s to early 30s OP were pretty damn good. 3rd batch/part I think you would disappoint especially early 40s because less song sang by the legend Kuraki Mai (which her song mostly in this video). The one that you heard mellow / love type song including Dynamite. Maybe after you done the OPs, you could react to the EDs too since the EDs especially between 20s till 50s are pretty good too. I think you should watch at least first 11 episodes, ep 76, 128, 219, 345, 425 & 942 to grasp a little bit of DC and watch movie 1,3,5,7,16-26 to compensate 1100++ episodes.

I agree that you will like Detective Conan. But as said under the last video, i don't think it's a good pick for reactions. Mainly because of how the episodes are structured. Every case develops slowly over multiple episodes and are extremely dialogue heavy. And like to One Piece, it has over 1000 episodes. Which is one of the main reasons some people don't vote One Piece. So personally, i think it's better to watch it privately. I don't think it's gonna draw in many views.

For clarification: Conan actually has quiet a few agent like gadgets, which an old friend invented for him. Like the belt you saw, the electrical shoes and also the watch with the sleeping darts you mentioned in part 1.

About the pushing of glasses, yea this is a common theme in anime. In Conan it also happens often, especially when he tells how the crimes took place. Probably because it looks cooler, than a still frame.

Glad your enjoying the openings. From what you have said I feel you would enjoy the anime/manga as a mystery. It's very much not a react anime sadly. Could be worth watching one of the movies though. They are a really good way to experience what the anime is like in a bundle. Some of the movies are so good also.

I know it looks sus, but, at least as far as I got, there isn't any real romance between the girl and Conan as a kid. He still has feelings for her, but as far as she knows, he's a kid. However, Conan does occasionally have phone conversations with her using his bowtie voice changer to make him sound like his older self, which they show a few times in the openings. Also, for the soccer ball, Conan is a huge fan of soccer from what I remember. But they probably also just wanted to give him gadgets that wouldn't stand out for a kid to have like how he also travels around on a super powered skateboard.

I can say this, because it's literally happens in the first episode and is also in the synopsis, Conan, the small detective is, originally 17 years old and a high school detective, the girl, who you said is his sister, is actually his childhood friend and love interest, through a drug, his body shrunk and sometimes, he grows back to his old body temporarily Edit: Btw. I can do this pose alright and it is quite comfortable

Ok, this hurts now. She is basically the mc girlfriend before he shrinks, she doesn't know who he is and is acting basically as a sister after he shrinks. OPs are chuck full of symbolism and you're heavily misreading a lot of it. There is a love story going on in the middle of it all, but not like that. Also Sherry would kick his ass if he tried to date her 😅 The "vibes" OPs you're talking about are when the main plot goes into high gear btw This is very much a family show, there's close to no controversy here, though they seem a lot more open to viewing gruesome death and alcohol in such a show than over here.

Never really seen her as even a potential love interest, she just don't seem that into him at any point. She trusts him, and rely on him, but that's seemingly where it stops.

Each episode is a mystery xD It's a murder mystery show, even if the openings doesn't really show it. Also Detective Conan op 37, Butterfly Core, is definitely my favorite op and it's absolutely amazing.
