Project 11 (Petra Gurin) - Update 1 - 06/10/2023 (Patreon)

Hi guys!

I'm going to give you guys a briefing about the next Project, Petra Gurin.

Petra's design sheet is pretty easy to get through. The biggest difficulty in making the model primarily lies in her Hoodie, since it has a lot of different color patches here and there. As a matter of fact, I would never guess that I could finish the modeling process this week. There are lots of mistakes that I made on Project 10 (Ina), I guess it kinda grows I would say and I'm getting more efficient than before.

Do I notice any special details that make Petra special during this entire modeling process? I don't think so. I think the simplicity of the design makes her model a lot more gorgeous, similar to Selen. Besides that, I think Petra looks cuter if she closes her mouth. But that is just my opinion though. 

I already have some ideas for the video project. Definitely, it is going to be set during summer, when people would mostly go to the beach to have fun. Petra's shyness would suit the vibrant beach atmosphere where she would be forced to come out from her shell and express herself. I personally think that it is going to be a bittersweet video. But we'll see about that.

Furthermore, I'm (possibly) going to a graduate school (in Engineering) within months. But why? Well, I'm primarily using it as a disguise to make myself busy so people IRL don't bother me. I have already seen the schedule, and it wasn't as busy as the undergraduate program. So I don't think there will be any disruption whatsoever. However, I could probably delay the release date of my future project that I will work on around December and May though. So, I'm going to give you guys a heads-up. We'll see about that.

Since Petra is currently studying in Japan, I wish her (and also you guys, if applicable) a wonderful summer break. Some of my professors get their master's and PhDs in Japan. So I want to add some trivia to this one. The way that the Japanese College System works is that you would usually go to college and have fun over there. Most of the hard work and heavy lifting was done during high school. By the time you get accepted into any Japanese College, you usually just hang around and have fun with your classmates. I mean, there's a reason why Uzaki-Chan is playing Minecraft all day while she's in College. If Petra goes to any Canadian or European College, BOY that stuff's HARD ASF! She would either stop VTubing or stay in college for another 8 years. Let's be grateful that she went to Japan instead of going to a Canadian or European College xD
