Immortal songs is a great show. So many groups but also solo artist had amazing stages. They do covers....and often they cover hits of a certain artist in front of said artist. Its kinda a big deal to be able to perform there, at least thats what I understood. But all of them who participate on this show give each song their own spin to it, which is awesome. SKZ for example was on the JYP special and they did a cover of "Again and again" by 2PM, I think JYP wrote that songs, thats why they performed it and they made it into a SKZ song. (So just to name an example to understand it better, also worth checking out that performance as well).

As others have said, Immortal Songs is a live show which has a theme or artist that they invite other artists to cover. It becomes like a tribute to the artist or theme, and gives contestants a chance to put their spin on the music as well, as we see here. There are reasons ATEEZ has won so many of these, though, and it's their incredible vocals and live performance abilities. These shows feel (to me) like trips to the candy shop, because you don't know what you'll get, but you can be sure it will be tasty.
