What's going on, you popsicle sticks. So I have a question!

First, I really wanna take a moment to thank everyone who's supported me here over these past few months. I've reached a big milestone here on Patreon in the form of over $1k a month!! 🤯🤯 That's insane! And it's all thanks to you guys, and I couldn't be more just taken a back. Seriously, like I really didn't expect and couldn't have ever anticipated how soon I reached that goalpost, and really have to just take a virtual bow, ya'll.

I'm serious, thank you guys for the support. I'm grateful for every second you're here wether it's a month, a year, 2 seconds, whatever! I appreciate yoouuuUUUU.

The ultimate goal for me is to be able to grow my Patreon page to the point where I can quit the workforce and focus all of my time into my art, and to that end of course I've been thinking a lot about how I can eventually up the value of your pledge to my Patreon page, as well as to grow in that same vein. I figured the next step for me in that regard was to really ACTUALLY delve into making videos! Now, I'm not saying it'll happen next month or anything, but just to really start looking into and preparing how to fit that into my schedule eventually.

So finally onto my question:

Would you guys prefer I do something like a live-stream where I pick a particular topic and just talk about that topic, whether it be gesture, drawing the arm, leg, torso, whatever! — or would you rather I do like a more edited down kinda video about a particular topic?

Now I don't wanna say both right now only because I really don't wanna bite off more than I could chew, especially since I still work my day job and have to balance that with making the monthly rewards plus the gym and sleep and just life.

So for now, my question stands! Again it doesn't have to be definitively only one or the other, but for now I have these two options for future reference!

Once again, thanks so much for the support! Literally my life is in your hands. Looool. Please feel free to leave any suggestions as to any ideas you may have too!

In the long run, I'd love to see focused videos, but I think that live streams are a better place to start. Particularly since you still have another job. Writing scripts and editing videos seems like a less efficient use of time for now.

I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment, honestly. I am in this for the long haul after all!

I know I'm late. I feel focused videos better suit your schedule. And live streaming is a wild beast in its own right. I'd love to see a focused video where you start with heads, then faces and rotational views. Head neck + rotational views. Shoulders and arms + rotational. Torso. Upper body balance and rotational, and so on. It would help break it down and allow us to spend the time in between videos practicing. And homework would be fun if you wanted to give out some. Love your work.

It's funny you say you're late 'cause this has never been more in the forefront of my mind than right now as I draw closer to my last day at work. 😭 I do feel like that would be a good idea too! The only thing that's making me nervous right now is like with any new thing that you do, I simply don't know how to do anything. 😅 Maybe not to that extreme of course, but like I never thought that I'd be a "content creator," you know? I always thought that I'd just be working some job unrelated to art until retirement, but now that this opportunity presents itself, I have what seems like a whole world of lessons to learn when it comes to this "creator" space. I've never been on camera, I've never made a script for a video, I've never edited a video, I've never recorded audio for a video, just all that kind of stuff is new to me! So I don't know what is complicated and what isn't until I dive in completely. With all that being said though, I feel like once I get a handle on the logistics of creating videos, that that's when I can actually focus on what those videos will be and look like. For example, I have an idea for a series of videos that I feel would be a cool supplement to the written tutorials where I'd choose one tutorial and dive deeper into the advice I give in said tutorial and show you guys how I personally apply the tips that I share in them. That with, like you said, just kinda going through the body from top to bottom and sharing my thoughts on how I approach drawing all the parts of the body and what not. Long comment, I know. Lol I'm in my own head, but the sky's the limit now so I'm just trying to take it one step at a time. 🙏
