just an idea here: please bear with me! it's not definite, but i really want your input.

i'm a chunk of the way through this month's patreon letters, and i'm having to take frequent breaks because of the pain. i mentioned in my last post how i did a bit of damage to my hand and wrist last time, but i assumed after a couple of weeks it had healed. that pain returned quite quickly into writing the even slightly shorter letters and i'm not happy >:(

i wanted to keep writing these letters, but i feel as if i'm getting shaky and my quality is just dropping. it's very frustrating (with myself).

i did have an idea of a future alternative, this month's letters will be sent out as usual. but for the future i was considering an alternative reward to make my life a bit easier and less painless and i wanted to know what you guys think.

i have been considering buying a high quality printer, writing out one long, more interesting letter digitally, and printing them for my $50+ patrons. all of the letters will be signed by hand.

obviously this is disappointing given that i have been writing all of the letters by hand up to now, individually. to make this a bit better i was considering also buying some glossy paper and producing art prints as well. i will sign them. you can have some original shadow art as well! (aka art drawn by me, in cute little A5 size).

i'm not sure what you guys will think of this. how important is the hand-written aspect of the patreon letters? is it so important that you wouldn't mind if both the quality and length of the letters continues to decline?

would you prefer to have a longer, higher quality digital letter printed and signed, along with a free signed art print on glossy paper?

please let me know which of these you guys prefer. patrons who aren't a part of the higher tiers are welcome to give input too!

thank you!

Welcome to scaling! Believe it or not, this is an *awesome* problem to have!

Just hand signing it and using a printer for the majority of it is a good idea, takes less time and easier on you.

It’s already a great idea if it eases your workload and pain, this should take priority over anything we could possibly want :) but the original art and longer letters sound really nice as well and makes this seem like the best possible compromise, we trust you and will support whatever choices you make!

We're all patrons because we care about you, so none of us want to see you get hurt! I would personally ~love~ to be able to pledge and get a signed art print from you as well!

Your health is the priority here. Just handsigning the letter is more than even a lot of celebrities do (in my experiey) so it's still much more special than most.

Please do this! It makes more sense and it saves on avoiding any permanent damage.

I concur. Not that I'm in that tier.... YET

Aye what everyone else said take the time to heal up. Having a printed letter signed would still be very meaningful to us all.
