I’ve been wanting to say this since the last few episodes of season 1 there were comments about Damon being better and not being much of a villain anymore. They actually did an interview with the writers and they brought up the fact that Damon did that to Jeremy and the writers said the only reason they had him do that is because Damon had become too likable in the fan base and they needed him to be more of a villain. Which sucks they had him do it that way. Just wanted to share that fun fact lol

Yeah Damon doing that to Jeremy was a big L. Even if he sees Jeremy is wearing the ring, doing that in front of Elena is still a horrible thing to do. Imagine seeing your brother get his neck snapped in front of you, yikes.

I feel like what Damon did was not surprising tho. Its like Elena said, he gets hurt, doesn't want to show that he is hurt and then does something stupid. Over and over again. I mean assaulting Elena would be enough for me to not like him again...

I mean that’s true but to me this was a little much. I’ve always known Damon was like that and he even knows that. To me it’s what makes his character, as annoying as that can be. What he did this episode just really shocked me when I first watched

season 2 is my favorite and this season is filled with so much great stuff. Introduction to a lot of great characters. Katherine is soo bad but she is a personal favorite for most of the fans. Nina did such a great job. Her walk, talk everything screams confidence and yea the aura is completely different. The scene with damon elena and jeremy was so loww points for damon.

I felt bad for Damon this episode the two girls he "loves". and they tell him it's his brother and always him. But then he kills Jeremy. Then it goes out the window. And with Stefan this episode threatening John was always a great scene to me. But when I watched/watch the scene when Stefan grabbing jer and slapping him. Makes sense he wanted Jeremy to understand the situation. That he can actually die without being vampire.

I'm so excited for this season and excited that you guys are too, you have no idea. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are peak TVD in my opinion so let's goooo. Katherine is one of my fave characters so yay (and yeah she is hot Bryce). Nina is so good at playing them both, so much so that I have a clear favourite haha. Damon/Sheriff Forbes/Mrs Lockwood - "Let's all go upstairs." I almost spat out my water, Rob, haha. As if Damon cares about Caroline give me a break (rolls eyes). "How do you know Chuck Bass?" OMG watching you guys react to GG would be hilarious. What a great first ep, this is going to be sooo good.

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing. I find Damon very unlikable and it is very unsettling to me how much the characters in the show and the reactors/fans seem to love him and just forget what a horrible person he consistently is. I'm just watching the show with ReelTime so I don't know what will happen in the future seasons, but I can't imagine what the writers could do that would make me believe in a redemption arc for Damon after everything he's done so far. I really hope they drop the gross 'love triangle' thing. This grown man obsessively going after a 17 year old child who repeatedly tells him she's not interested is so disgusting. But I'm guessing from all the 'Delena' comments I see that that hope is in vain lol.

I won’t make any comments on what happens in the future of tvd since you’re watching for the first time. However, I do want to reply to the part about him going after Elena who is younger with saying you can also say the same thing about Stefan. They’re both technically over 100 years old so it’s weird in general they would both go after her. But that’s just how it is in this universe I guess

So yes technically those are their ages when they died but they’ve lived all those years after that and the life experience they’ve had surpass everything else. In a real world sense it’s weird either one of them pursues Elena. But this is tvd and none of this would make sense in the real world lol That’s why in my opinion saying one is worse than the other age wise doesn’t make much sense

People love to hate Damon but love Katherine, they both have very dark parts of themselves yet had a lot of shit happen to them in their pasts and are more in tune with their vampire nature than human. I love Damon even though he makes a lot of poor decisions and acts too fast.

damon will always be the writers back up plan if they have nothing better to write they gotta ruin any sort of develop he has. I could see early damon do this but not the one who the last s1 eps he was trying to trust them and trying to show some sort of moral sability but like i said the writers trend is they tend to forget any morals he coups up and ruin it to do an overdue or ongoing plot cuz they cant think of any other character to do it
