Sneak Peek: Dwarven Assets (Patreon)

I posted this on the discord last night but I wanted to also show off the next pack coming out here on patreon in the next few days!

The GIF below shows off the process and what I do when making these assets. I start with basic shapes and some of these shapes are more detailed depending on how clear my idea is, or what kind of reference image I've found.

After I somewhat fill up the space with as many ideas as I can, I start to add detail. This can be anything from reworking major bits of the asset to simple weathering techniques by adding cracks and lines to make things look a bit old and battered.

The next step is to add a simple flat colour layer that I use to also add shadows underneath in order to give the assets some depth. Later on I'll change the shadows to match the assets.

Finally the process of adding simple colouring and detailed colouring begins!

Speaking of which i'll be colouring these tonight on stream tonight! :)
